I just purchased a 2004 Enthusiast Convertible from my next door neighbor in FL. It has always been garaged, 87K and although I wasn't in the market for a car, a convertible with MT and cloth seemed like a good option at a fair price. One problem he explained was that sometimes the top sticks when going up or down. It isn't so much the top as the hatch cover. When it stops, if you remove your finger from the button and press it again, it continues normally. What I noticed in cycling the top is that sometimes the hatch cover lies flush with the trunk lid and at other times the passenger side sits 1/4" higher. Is there an adjustment to the cover to get it to remain flush. I'm thinking if the cover is not aligned properly there may be increased resistance in raising or lowering it. Any thoughts? Is this the correct place to post this?
