So I recently bought a 04 350z and the car smells of exhaust really strong on the inside with the windows up I drove it back home after buying it about 5 hours and I was light headed the entire trip back the windows don't work so every 10 minutes i would have to open the door it has an aftermarket exhaust looks cheap but i haven't lifted it to check the whole system any ideas as to why its extremely strong I think it's coming through the A/C but not sure I'm new to the Z world any information would be helpful thanks

I have to ask- did it not do this on test drive?...
Take it to any exhaust shop for a free inspection
UPDATE: so I finally got under the car (needed a new Jack that could lift higher) the guy I got the car from put test pipes and the joints where they connect to the headers weren't put on properly so I tightened them up and added some JB weld extrem temperature paste to the sides for extra measure it fixed the problem I would not recommend the paste and to just replace the flange but the after market exaust is not long for this world so I'm going to replace the entire system later this is just a **** it patch
That "Extreme Heat" or thermosteel actually works very very well when applied properly. I've repaired quarter size exhaust manifold holes on a Lincoln Town Car with just use a 14mm nut and that stuff.

Oh yeah feels like metal cement I just don't think the joint is coming off when I replace the exaust with a new one I'm saying don't put it on the joint I didn't think it would dry that hard
