I’ve spent a lot of time on this issue and learned some things from YouTube and many forums online, but, I am at a total loss with this situation. I’m hoping someone can suggest some new ideas. My son took the inside drivers panel off to tighten the mirror bolts and put it back on. After doing this he said the window went up and down just fine. Car sat for a week or so and we went out to take a drive. As he put the key in the ignition when he got to “on” the drivers window went down. It would not respond to the switch on the inside of the door. We pulled it into the garage. At some point I put the passenger window down and it is now not responding to up. The door lock button does not work on the doors. but, it does work on the key fob. When I turn the key and hold to lock in the drivers door the windows do not go up.
things I have done:
1) checked all fuses including under the hood.
2) smacked the motors as I held up on the window switch.
3) I have power to the mirrors and they work.
4) the yellow light is on in the switch assembly.
5) I have held the reset button on the motor while pushing up/down without going into auto mod and nothing.
6) I’ve pulled just about every hair out of my head over this. Please tell me what I am missing. Thank you.
