Do cam and crank sensors need replaced at the same time?
Hey, just picked up a new crank sensor but before installing it I asked around and heard that your cam/crank need replaced AT THE SAME TIME. My motto is if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, and I would like to save my 150$+ if I can. What’s the benefit? Will one sensor cause the other to fail?
They don't necessarily need to be replaced at the same time unless you're getting DTCs for both, but it generally is good practice since they are consumable items and when one goes, the other is likely towards the end of it's lifespan as well.
