Default 2007 Nismo 350z: Is it worth it?

Well, as its written... I was in the process of getting/ordering a 335i,, then by mistake I went by my local Nissan dealership and saw the Nismo... It was pretty hot, the back kit and the wing are horrible, but in general its a pretty sick/rare thing here.

I currently have a 2003 SB perf with a full Nismo Styled CF kit, including fenders and hood by vis and Carbon Creations. 19" Stern Wheels, Apexi N1 exhaust, injen intake, nismo **** and mats, CF a pillars, trunk bar cover, and cluster hood. Along with Brembo OE sized cd/slotted rotors with Hawk Pads. 68k miles on it.

I also have a 2003 E46 M3 which I will be giving to my gf for daily driving.

Thinking of trading the Z in def. What do you guys think? Is the Nismo worth it? Will it hold its value better? How rare is it?

No need for stupid comments either, just some opinions!

Thanks

I think with a pending motor change in the very near future with exterior changes. I would avoid it.

Well it depends on what you are looking for. The 07 will get you a new hood, tail lights, HIDs, larger brakes, nicer 18" rims, great more powerful engine w/ better gas millage, and who could forget the 6 cup holders.

Like I said its all on what your looking for. If you like the changed then go for it. I love mine and look forward to driving it every day.......... Well unless its raining, I hate to get it dirty.

That is a great point. When is the motor supposed to change 08 right? I didn't even think of that. See im from the Honda breed of retards originally, so I saw it and automatically thought about the time I passed up buying a 1996 Integra Type R (championship White), and I did regret it very much. Never had the chance to get it again either. Im wondering if this Nismo will carry the same kinda tag. HMMMM...

By worth it I mean: Is it worth the $38k sticker price I was guaranteed? Is it worth it for a Z fan to spend that kinda money on it? Is the "Nismo package" really worth that much more? Or should I hold for the 335 or something else in that range.

I understand. My goal is always performance. Dragstrip, track and autocross. The NISMO 350Z offers me little if anything. So for me its a definite no.

The new Nismo is seriously fugly.
You'd take a Z over an M3 or a 335?
I shopped all three when I was buying my Z - the only reason I bought the Z over the 335 and M was because it cost less, performed about as well and was fairly reliable over the BMW's.
My opinion, keep the M3 and laugh at the Nismos as they drive by.

Keep your '03, slap a TT on it and call it a day. You'll have twice as much power than the '07 NISMO & still have $$$s in the bank.

For all the bits you get, the car is worth it if you can get it close to the invoice (say 36k), but I'm guessing that most dealers won't negotiate down that much.
