Default Audio system in the Nismo

I'm contemplating on wether or not I should put my old setup in the Nismo. I would just hate to tear the car apart to run 4gauge wiring. Also my box has to be bolted to the body because of the weight of my subs making my box slide from under the strut. I was running two fosgate power dvc's in an under strut box. Also the stock sound system sucks without bose...

I still have all the stuff from my previous Z also but the only thing I put back in was my Kenwood double din head unit, I needed my Sirius . I wouldn't install anything other than that in this beauty but to each their own.

I'd do it on this one.

Although I would reconsider with the GT-R.

Taco: how do the stock speakers sound with the new HU? I was looking at replacing either the HU or the speakers -- maybe both. I don't want to do anything crazy with an install that would require tearing apart the interior or poking any holes.

Changing the stereo out on a limited production car is not a big deal. It isn't like switching out wheels, exhaust, etc.

I plan to do it myself because the sound system isn't that great.

it definitely made a huge difference, it sounds alot cleaner when the music is louderand what little bass there is now sounds crisper.

What HU did you install (curious about the WPC) --and how hard was the installation? I haven't done any car stereo stuff in years, although I am definitely a geek when it comes to my home audio systems.

They could have at least gave the Nismo Z the capability of playing MP3 disc since it don't even have a 6-Disc changer!

Were you buying a Grand Touring, or a Nismo?

I hear those GT's have a nice, soft suspension, too.

I got the Nismo. I guess its a trade off. Its much easier to change out the Audio system than retuning up a car huh? Plus I think it will cost less because I able to upgrade the Audio system myself where I am not mechanically incline to work in the engine and suspension area.

I am also considering to upgrade my Nismo, coz from the specs, the stock stereo sucks comparing to the GT where they have the BOSE system including 7 speakers, 6-CD changer, MP3/WMA and others.

Anyways, I was thinking on some Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, Boston, Diamond Audio or MTX. What you guys will put into your Nismo? Amplifiers, subwoofers, speakers, CD-changer, car stereo???
