I am such a clutz....
So I'm at home after picking up some extra parts for the NISMO (rear NISMO licence plate holder, cargo net (the only reason I was able to spend the rest was because of this cos my wife likes them
) and a Carbon fiber NISMO gear shift.
I fitted the gear shift myself, and was about to back it out and test it.
I can't have closed the rear hatch properly, and it opened as I was getting out of the garage... long story short - it almost tore the spoiler off
I felt
I took it into the garage and they are able to get a replacement, but Autech clearly haven't imported any yet, it's going to take a month to get here
It looks very weird at the moment, as no rear spoiler, I've got black masking tape over the holes so it's a bit poo.
The good thing is that it'll be replaced with a stock part, and will fit real neatly over the gaps - so it won't look crap going forward.
I would state though that people should check their rear hatches, they seem a LOT stiffer then my 2004 Z and more "powerful" about pushing it up in the air - maybe because of the weight of the spoiler?
Just a heads up as it seemed to be an issue - although I'm FULLY aware that it's my fault over all.

awww that do suck. so if i see a Nismo Z around town without a spoiler...I know its you. So how much did it cost for another spoiler and did you have to prove that you do own a Nismo Edition Z?
I do notice that the hatch dampers are powerful. I do believe it is to accommodate the weight of that huge spoiler. I have a hard time closing the hatch with one hand (finger prints all over).

Hi guys,
Thanks for the messages, I have to say that I was afraid I might get a bit toasty, and am glad I haven't as honestly I feel like crap for it enough.
I'll take some pics later and post them (so you can revel in my mishap
)
The total cost was about $1500 as I damaged the hatch too... shows you just how much this kit cost though.
