Default auto-dimming mirror

Does anybody else find their auto-dimming rear-view mirror is useless because the spoiler blocks the sensor at most angles?

Just a small rant.

i think about that on my drive home every night. i was wondering if my mirror was defective or if it really was that huge wing haha....good news is that if the sensor is blocked my eyes usually are too.....

That leads to my dumb question: Can the nismo z be WITHOUT the spoiler?
Because I love every freaking thing on the nismo z BUT the spoiler...I know its for "aerodynamics" and "down force" and whatever its for, lol.
anyone got any pic of a nismo without spoiler?

Same thing happened to my 2003 Enthusiast after installing a Nismo V1 spoiler.

I do notice that if I turn off the auto-dimmer mirror -- it does make a little different. most of the headlight beams from behind is block by the Spoiler anyway. *laughing

I don't have a spoiler at the moment - I broke it

See my original thread for details..

I'm STILL waiting for the replacement to be sent from Japan - shows that they are serious that you ain't getting one without actually owning a NISMO.

I will try and get a pic today, just working so damn hard right now.

Let me tell you though - that I LOVE the look of it with the Spoiler and everything attached - it really feels odd not to have it... I also noticed in strong winds on freeways etc - you notice it not being there.

The extra stiffness is great - but it really felt like a "complete package" to me the more I drive it without it.

I am a total Noob/uneducated when it comes to the mechanics and physics of cars - so if I'm noticing it - it must be true
