2007 Civic Typer R > 2007 Nismo 350Z
BM is entertainment just like Top Gear....I stopped taking them seriously when a C6 Z06 driver took the worst lines around a corner and then couldnt even pull an STi on the straights....These guys are biased period....

Just to clarify my previous post on some of the numbers?
Civic Type R => 222hp according to Edmunds.com
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=120576
Nismo Z 380RS => 350hp according to Edmunds.com
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=121525
I think the person that drives the Z should get fired maybe? Cause if is real, he sure don't know how to drive.

true dat
I really enjoy Best Motoring Videos but I have to say that the results are a little suspect sometimes. I don't think the results would necessarily stand up if the drivers were switched around or the grid positions were different.
Even though all the participants are professional drivers, some clearly outshine the others. Keiichi usually seems like he's in a league of his own. Jyuichi Wakisaka and Takuya Kurosawa are usually pretty impressive. Daisuke Ito, Hattori, and Orido are mostly solid.
My favorite is Gan-san just cuz everyone is scared he is gonna put them into the wall.

The results are in and they are not pretty.
The civic not only took first place, but it out lapped the Nismo's best lap time.
Don't get my wrong, I love my car dearly but what will these Civic's do to my Enthusiast 03 if they can outlap the Nismo? Discuss.
To those who have seen race, maybe you can explain the race in more detial. I might be lost without translation but did these civics have turbo's or were they even heavily modified? From what I saw all of the cars were stock.

If it's any consolation, they did fit the Civic Type-R with R compounds while everyone else was running stock tires. I'm not really surprised by the results. They tested the Nismo 380RS in dry conditions and it got high 1:06 at Tsukuba, so the Nismo version getting 1:08 in semi-wet conditions doesn't sound that unreasonable.
The driver is the NSX rocks, just watch his lines compaired to the WRX behind him. I bet the WRX could have closed the gap up a bit by taking the right line. They never played clips of the other cars long enough to see what was actually going on.
