Default Trasnsmission clanking

Just curious if the clanking sounds the transmission makes when shifting gears is normal. I had my windows down with the music off yesterday and I could definitly notice it. I also have trouble getting the shifter into 1st gear sometimes. I am guessing it is a safty so you dont select it when switching to third.

anyone have any experience with this.

Thanks

Mine has diminished a bit since I had the Clutch replaced.

Other than that - I think the gearbox is a little clunky anyway

It's normal, along with most of the Z's produced. It's a weird thing about our transmission. btw, make sure you've done your slave cylinder recall. That is if yours fall under the vin# category that is linked with the recall. There's a sticky on this one.

Yep I checked and I'm all good with the recall, its just a clanky transmission I guess.
