Mine's a DD as well. Nothing bothers me at all, my nerves are shot from driving around a STi for the past 4 years. Im used to it all. Plus the ride seems better in the Nismo than my old sti.

Mine's a DD since day 1 (Oct 07), have 12k miles on it - no issues. I have SEVERE back problems (fusions, rods, screws, etc) and the ride actually DOESNT bother my back - even on long trips. (Actually I think the Nismo rides as nice as anything at highway speeds)

Honestly the ONLY time it bothers me is if I have an upset stomach. LOL When I dont feel good, and it sloshes my stomach around, Im not a happy camper! But other than that, no issues for me.

Yey me, first post!

This drives me up a fking wall. The Westpark toll is way is essentially a straight shot so there should be no combustion whatsoever. When those douchebags hang in the left lane I give them more than a piece of my mind......

How do you like your Nismo compared to the STi?

I like it alot, but there are a few things that i still have to get used to. I definitely gave up a little functionality for form for one. The STi was a 100% year round DD cause it was AWD. If this was a plain Z I would still drive it year round.I had a mustang a few years ago and drove it year round on the stock rubber, snow, rain, sleet and sun. But the more i think about it, i might need to get a winter day beater.

The handling is on par with with STi, but better than the STi. My Sti had 100% stock suspension. I was gonna get coilovers for it, right before i made up my mind to get the Z. The Nismo has a definite more positive feel and doesn't feel as jarring as the sti's ride. The Z is a little noisier when it comes to road noise though. I can hear every single grain of sand or road crap bounce off the underside of the Z.

I like the power it has more than the STi. The Sti had some more torque down low but the turbo lag always pissed me off. Especially in traffic. Below 2500, dead. But above that, the surge of power when your trying to modulate it in traffic wore on me. The Z has less torque but at least its more traffic friendly. .......minus the clutch pedal action. Which im getting used to but, there have been sometimes where I'm thinking, "Hmmm....my foot is almost at the top, it should be 100% engaged", and i give it more throttle and feel that it's still around the friction point.

The radio and OEM stereo is THE WORST i have EVER heard. Im trying to rip it out as fast as i can. The Sti's OEM radio was better, so +1 for the subaru there.

One thing i like too about the Z over the sti, that im longer part of the mentally retarded Subaru owners group. I always wanted a subaru when i started watchig WRC like 12 years ago or so. Then i finally dropped the hammer and bought the sti. Now in part to those stupid X games and Pastranas and Blocks "rallying" style, every shmuck is putting crap on thier WRX's and driving like a tool. Granted there are idiots everywhere, but as a old school subaru fan, it just got pathetic. "end rant there"
