Anyone use their Nismo for a daily driver
And if you do, how badly does the ride beat you up? I test drove a Nismo and Touring back to back, and the Nismo was way too stiff for a daily driver IMHO.

If you think it's "way too stiff", I think I'm gonna have to call you sissy on that one. It's not even as stiff as the s-tune suspension. It's relatively mild actually. Provided you don't have pre-existing back problems, or at an age where you feel things more, I'm sticking with sissy.
Hopefully you take this in the joking spirit I intend.

Absolutly useable as a daily driver. I found the Z stiff when I test drove it too when I went for my first test drive after driving my moms RL (rediculously soft suspension) Bought a Nismo and am very used to it now. I'm just more cautious of pot holes
I was worried that the welded seams might make things harsh, but it's quite comfortable. Definitely more comfortable than most any Z with aftermarket suspension.
The car does stand out a bit and that brought up some concerns, but that doesn't bother me any longer.

But on a serious note.. I love having mine as a daily.. Make sure that the spacers are off the car. I didnt know mine were on the car until I took her in for service... And man.... What a difference... You might have driven the car with the spacers on....
I use her as daily driver... and any time I think what else I could drive as daily I end up to an evo X...
about the suspension is not a big deal, I'm planning to put hypermax iii sport.. maybe at that point will be a little bit too stiff as daily.. but what the hell.

First, thanks for all the responses to all the Nismo owners who weren't offended by question. Could have been the spacers that caused the bad ride, even the saleman that was with me quoted that the car was way too stiff for a daily driver. As the former owner of an 03 S2000 (last of the stiffer suspension, changed in 04), the Nismo I drove was significantly more harsh than my S2000.
To "pacfru", base upon your response, I think I'm gonna have to call you an a-hole, unless of course, it's because your mentally challanged by a serious question. Provided that's not the case, I'm sticking with a-hole.
Hopefully, you take this in the joking spirit I intend.

And how does the s-tune suspension do over bumps compared to the Nismo? Thanks.

The s-tune suspension is a bit harder on bumps than the NISMO's stock suspension. It's still totally liveable though. I had to drop my car off at the dealership to have a belt that was prematurely worn replaced so I've been driving my old S-tune around lately (my Dad took it off my hands when I got the NISMO so it's still in the family). The s-tune suspension feels like it has a little bit less body roll than the factory suspension as well. This is what first got me thinking that the suspension on the car could definately be upgraded.
