Yes it's a lot of money but consider the competition to it. It essentially should run with the 911 GT3 in Grand Am and I believe those run around $250k prepped from Porsche. So in terms of the comparitive cost it's just about what other cars would cost.

Porsche 911 instead. I've heard Lotus never lasts on a track run.
