Nice pics and nice toys you got there.

Is that the HKS hi-power exhaust? What other mods are you installing?

Oh and I didn't notice that it was Nogaro red. First one I've seen I think.

Here's a preview of the HKS to give you an idea how it goes with the diffuser. This is Msukach's NISMO.

Thanks for the compliments. I just noticed a few 748 pics and some pics of the "ex" got into the mix. Ill move em out of the set.

Yeah that's the HKS Hi-Power with the Nismo Dual Intake. Im not 100% excited about the intake ,judging from what i hearing, but we'll see. The Berk HFC's are on the way and should be here this week. As for more mods, a tune would be ideal next. But, better brake pads, SS lines and a fluid changeover will be probably be next.

The suspension, im happy with....for now. I kinda bought the Nismo thinking to myself..."Hmmmm already comes with a nice suspension, hence "" The best handling Z ever"".....So i promised myself, the suspension is DONE and i dont need to touch it. Sigh.....I can already see myself buying coilovers in a few months.

Are you planning on installing everything yourself or by a local shop?

I'm doing it all myself. I can pretty much do anything, short of anything that requires a lift, dyno/tune or special tools.

Plus doing the work myself makes me happy. I just put on some of my fav CD's in the garage, blast it and zone out.

I also love to work on my car myself. Let me know if you want to meet and hang out. I also have to install SS brake lines and would like to get some help. Let me know, your CDs, my food and drinks, we can get alot done.

Sounds like a plan. When do you think your gonna do the brake stuff? Im still recovering from the HKS and Berks.. Im thinking sometime in june/july for the brake stuff.

But im not 100% on the new pads. I installed Hawk HPS pads on my STi and they were unbelievable at first, but in everyday traffic they seemed to....glaze over and not bite as hard. I found myself braking HARD when no one was around so freshen them up.

On this forum, there have been lots of complaints about the HPS pads. Most of the complaints are based around little to no initial bite when the pads are cold.

I actually think the stock brembo pads are quite decent for the street. If you want a more aggressive pad for the track that's one thing, but for the street, I think they're fine.

Oh and from what I read, installing the HFCs can be a pain. Loosening the bolts on top seem to be the hardest part.

Probably not. I like to keep all the OEM parts that I can in the event of ever selling the Nismo, I can bring it back to stock and sell off the aftermarket parts.

Plus one town around me has some PRETTY BORED cops. I got pulled over a few years back in my STi, the day after putting my HFC downpipe on with the Perrin cat back i already had on it. I had to put the OEM stuff back on, go for a DMV re inspection then put all the stuff back on. Saving the OEM crap saved my butt.

Im probably gonna keep the OEM pads on the more i think about it. The Hawk pads were just like you described on my STi. As of last week and a few thousand miles on the pads, they are worse than OEM now.

I looked at installed the HFC's and yeah.....looks to be a pain. But ill get it done though. I thought of just putting on the HKS for now, but then I thought i have time on my side and the bolts aren't heat and rust seized yet. I just gotta hit em hard enough to break em free of the factory torque and the rest should be a breeze. Or so I hope.....

I used to have the HPS's and I agree. I switched to axxis ultimates and they're far better. Still less bite than stock, but far better than HPS.
