Hey guys..I just traded in my 2005 base model z in on a new 07 Nismo..I love the car..I was going to buy just a 2008 enthusiast but the price they gave me was insane being it was an 07..I picked it up for 32 and some change..It had 13 miles on it and i had been sitting on the show room floor for like 10 months..I will try to post up picks soon..but i know everybody knows what a magnetic black nismo looks like

Thanks guys..I was also wondering if anybody has put exhaust on the nismo..i will still keep the stock exhaust because i want the car to be able to be original again..i do see that not all exhaust work with it because of the bumper..would i need a custom set up? i do plan on nismo intakes and other nismo products just to stick with the nismo theme
Im wondering what aftermarket exhausts have tips that are anywhere near as big as the stock exhaust. I think the newer Injen exhaust as 4.5" tips if Im not mistaken and thats the one Im leaning towards.

its kind of strange that it being a nismo you would think it would be like the aftermarket nismo exhaust and be 3 inch tubing but its like a stock muffler bith big tips that say nismo

A few exhausts with tips as large as the NISMO include the HKS hi-power, Greddy EVO TT, Tanabe super medallion and fujitsubo legalis R. And I'm sure there are plenty more.
On the boards, a few have the HKS and Bassani. For the most part, exhausts should bolt on just fine.

I don't know what some of you are getting your info about the NISMO Z from but it's wrong.
Yes the Stock Y pipe and Mide pipe are OEM but they do there job very well.
The Muff part of setup was built by NISMO tune by Autech.
The Muff is not stock, I love the way it shoulds over stock 07-08 HR 350z.
The tone is deeper then base none nismo.
I would not touch it!! you will never find another NISMO Muff like that on any other 350z again.
I don't understand why people pay $40k for NISMOz then want to take thing's off
Go buy base if you want to mod. I got NISMO Z because it's already has $15K of toys on there already that most you put base 350z.
Rays Wheels and tires $5000, NISMO Body kit $2500, Stoptech BBK $4500 4pot. Nismo Suspension $1800, NISMO Catback $1000, Mass dampers $800.
$15600..
And you still don't have all the Autech body tuning.

Have you seen pictures of the Nismo with another exhaust? I want to see the Bassani on one. I like the sound of it more than the HKS.... But the HKS looks sick on the reg 350's... I wonder how it would look on the Nismo with the big opening the bumper has....
About modding the NISMO. Changing the body parts is one thing which wouldn't make sense, but for something like an exhaust, I don't see the harm.
The exhaust is one of the many parts that can be upgraded to improve looks, sound and performance. Looks and sound are subjective, but the power increase on a HR is pretty much guaranteed, assuming one chooses exhausts wisely.
The NISMO is a great package from the factory, but can still be improved upon.
