Arrow Mod Help -- opinions welcomed

Okay…I know some of us believe that the NISMO should go untouched, and if you feel that way, by all means please chime in.

Here’s my question:

I’m currently in the market to make another upgrade to my Nismo. I already have dual intakes and true dual exhaust, so I’m almost tempted to finish the mod by upgrading to HFCs and getting my chip reflashed by Technosquare to maximize horsepower.

The alternative is to buy another set of rims. The stocks are okay, but there’s a set of RE30s for sale that I think would make the car look more aggressive and increase responsiveness. I’m looking at 19x10 (255/30/19) front, and 19x11 (295/30/19) rear. I’m including pics.
What would you do?

Thanks

My hubby and I both did did short rams, headers, hi flow cats (getting ready to put tp's on them) and a full custom exhaust... and some other crap like tint, short antenna.. ect. We're getting ready to do the central 20 3.9 final drive gear switching diff fluid to motul, short shifters, clutch dampner delete switching clutch fluid to motul& braided clutch line next week. I'm not against modding the nismo in any way, and I'll probably get flamed for saying this... but I really like the factory wheels, I don't know that I'd change them out.

if you open the diff do also a cusco (or carbonetics) diff, and you also want to put SPL solid bushings (especially if you'll go with a good amount of lock)
it really change the car if you go for road course.

If I change the rims (which I'm 99.99% sure I won't) I'll still keep them for if I decide to trade it in.

Other than minor stuff (tint, upgraded speakers), my first performance mod (already had NISMO intakes on mine (thanks MC!)) is probably going to be the MREV2 and spacer, followed by some HFC or resonated test pipes.

I'd also like to get a Nismo B-pipe because from what I understand the Nismo Z only has the Nismo exhaust but the B-pipe is the same as the regular Z, where the Nismo full exhaust has a slightly larger diameter B-pipe. Is that correct?

why headers? their pretty much a waste of time and money on the HR, the best gains come more from HFC's and exhaust, the gears are an awesome choice, I had 4.083 in my '04 and might go with the 3.9's in the nismo.

Thanks Pacfwu...that's definitely the push I need...those 19x11s should fill in the rear nicely. Give myself another day to think about it.

Wow...I can't wait to see what your dyno tests look like. I've always been curious to see how far we can push the HR motor without going FI. About the wheels...yeah, some days I look at them and think, "man they look tight", and then other days they look a little bland. Honestly, I'm afraid I'll probably be that way with another set as well.

Generally wheels are the first thing you do if you want your car to look "new" again, but we already have 19s on the back and I don't really want to go 20s...otherwise why have a Nismo, you're losing performance.

I was just reading about the reflash in another forum and the numbers look promising (happy customers posting dyno numbers).

Apparently so...just read another forum where someone with a Nismo got it done. Only thing is that they're finding that aftermarket CAIs are reducing HR horse power...crazy. Instead of gaining 10hp, we're losing 10hp. I've heard this before, so now I'm starting to wonder if I should put my stocks back on.

will be pretty hard to fit mrev2 and spacer in a VQ35HR engine... they were for the previous engine.
so.. go straight for HFC or test pipes... but be sure about getting the right one (VQ35HR engine)
