Default anything I should know?

I am due back to the US in Oct. My Nizmo has been sitting on jack stands with the battery disconnected for a year now. Is there anything I need to know before taking a cab to the storage unit and finding out my car won't start? I plan to pick up a new battery on the way from the airport. I am just concerned that I will get the battery in and there will be ECU issues or something. Any info that could save some heartache (and being stranded at a storag facility) is greatly appreciated.

really it's not what you should do when picking it up, it's how you prepped it before you stored it. If you stored it correctly you shouldn't have any problems, I would suggest changing the oil though.

Good chance your battery will be fine, maybe a little low and needing a jump.

Thanks to all for the info. I put fuel stabilizer in the tank and ran it for about 30 minutes, then disconnected the + terminal of the Battery. The rear jack stands are about 4 inches higher than the front stands. I am asking because I have read some threads about people having ECU issues when disconnecting the battery. I just wanted to be sure that I did/did not need to memorize the whole ECU reset procedure (turn key, push gas pedal blah blah) ya know. Anyway, thanks a million!

Bumping an old thread instead of starting a new one.

I wont be home for another 3 months if the battery for the Z was disconnected will I lose my tune on my Fcon? Would it be better to just put a battery tender on it?
