If you get a Nismo you better mod the ish out of it and drive it like it was meant to be driven.
That is why the old anniversary model Z's are worth more than they should be. This will eventually be worth something as well.

but yeah looks like the current nismo as it is now is over with, kinda cool if you ask me
I don't know, that doesn't make much sense. i could see it maybe having nismo z equipment, but not necassarily being branded a "nismo Z". I'm pretty sure autech wouldn't mass produce a nismo Z. I thought the whole point of a nismo edition was it's limited availability, it would suck if everybody could buy a nismo z imo.

Yes, sadly the nismo will depreciate like any other Z.

For the most part, I think the Nismo was introduced to boost sales in the last years of production of the Z33. Pretty much common practice if you ask me.

When I started this thread I did not think that the nismo Z's would go up in value in two years, but over a time period of 10 yrs or so, nismos are still the best looking Z's IMO. And I think they are a great car to upgrade or to keep them stock. I was more curious if any of you heard that the build of the nismo Z's were over for the USA, which now I have the answer to be yes, so enjoy the nismos!!!!!!!

I'd like to be wrong, but simply looking at the going rate of used Nismos and you'll see that they're no different than regular Zs when it comes to depreciation.

The only thing I would hope for is the Nismo possibly leveling off at a higher price point compared to other Zs in a few years, but other than that, I wouldn't expect much.

Give them time. They'll be sought after cars by those in the know.

Do you buy one to worry about depreciation and what they are worth later on? I would buy one to own it and drive it like it should.

Worry about depreciation later on. A car is a bad investment, but if you are putting money down for something you want and like, then who cares about worrying about that stuff?

Of course, it's going to be a factor later on. I don't know about you all, but when my car is paid off in about a year, I'll be making damn sure to keep it. I'll go out and get a full loan on something else. It's my baby and it has almost no miles. 35K on a '04? It sits in the garage in the winter and is all over the roads in the summer.

I plan on keeping it that way. Worry about tickets, not next years going price.

daily drive mine... and nothing could be better...
all in all, it's just a car... cars are meant to be driven and played with...
if thats not what you want, then dont buy it, let someone who loves to drive it buy it...

Speaking of which is anyone in this thread an actual owner or are they in the same "angry" boat?
I am an owner of one of the new Nismos..#599..The fact that they are limited is one of the things that i love about the purchase! Only 1500 made, narrowing it down to only so many in each color...Just ensures there wont be 10 parked in the same place as me.

The Nismo isn't an investment, but it is a pretty good value, IMO. For a little bit more than a GT costs, you get a truly performance-tuned Z -- a Track model on steroids, if you will. I never expected it to appreciate in value, but I was hoping that it would hold it's value better than the standard Z trim levels. I was wrong about that -- but I still love the way my Nismo drives!
