As posted above...
Price: CR
Power: Nismo
Torque: Nismo
Curb Weight: CR
0-60: wash
1/4 mile time: Nismo
1/4 mile ET: Nismo
Braking distance 60-0: CR
Braking distance 80-0: CR
Skidpad: CR
Slalalom: CR
I'd love to see a true "apples to apples" comparison, which I never know will happen...
The CR's brakes will fade before the Nismo's does, and the S2k uses cast rims which weigh more than the Forged pieces on the Nismo.
The Nismo could lose more weight by stripping the sound deadening similar to the CR, and could use some stickier tires from the factory (Dunlops?
)
Gearing is about as agressive as can be reasonable on the CR, the Z could benefit from slightly more agressive gearing, but with that big a power advantage, that's a moot point.
Why couldn't they have made a s2k coupe? That would be a better competitor... everyone compares the Z coupe to the s2k, but shouldn't the Z roadster be the real competitor?

The opportunity to tell the whole world that the CR is in fact slower than the Nismo if you're faster.
I don't think this has been done under a controller environment outside of magazine testing.
Oh, and a cheap track day with only two run groups.

Sure, do you want to sponsor paying for the track + staff + prizes? ![Big Grin](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I sure as hell can't afford it.
And given that every other CR owner I know tracks regularly, I don't know if that'd be a good idea...
Most of them have quite a few go-fast mods that don't involve power...

It makes for a fun argument, but on the track, the only thing truly being compared is the drivers.
A stock 350Z could beat a CR around a track and vice versa, but that won't tell you which car is faster.

yea, i agree. it is a drivers race, but i dont think any z owner isnt gonna not be holding his or her breath for the result, i know i will. the only thing that made me opt for the nismo is the fact that it is a much more comfortable fit for me inside, and should i want to, i can strip the car down further or add more power for far easier than the s2k. i love both cars tho.

Off Topic: I try to get Mel to get the fail dude with the NISMO Z out but he pussyed out =( I'd like to see how my G does against a Z as well / your CR (Yes I'll be attending R&D's track day)
No my G is NOT TT.. and the list of mods are not updated/somethings have changed

Gotta keep these Z boys on their toes ![Big Grin](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
FWIW, I really want to get an apples to apples comparison. I've held off on putting my brakes on in hopes of finding a stock Nismo Z to run with. If I get a Nismo Z with bolt-ons, then I will have bolt-ons as well.
Borrowed Amune R1 Titan... 55lbs weight reduction
headers... 35 lb weight reduction...
Borrowed Enkei RPF1's... 7 lb reduction per corner...
Car will be stock down to the tire EXCEPT for the clutch/flywheel (which technically is a performance LOSS on my car; I fall out of VTEC on a 1-2 shift, whereas a stock setup does not)
