I'll be driving a S2000 CR, and would like to see a (some) Nismo Z(s) out there. I will be running full factory trim, and the car is all stock minus an upgraded clutch.
Hmmm. Very tempting, but I have no track experience and i would hate my lack of experience to give the NISMO a bad name. I would like to get to the track though.
That course favors the CR and the Nismo Z still beat it. On a more open track the difference will be even more. Plus you have AC & a stereo to listen to on the way home. The Nismo Z & CR are both cool cars.
S2000s aren't all that sir. I have raced them on road courses and beat them in my NISMO even in the turns. They feel like they handle well because of the size and weight, but they aren't all that compared to the NISMO. The only place they shine better is a tight road course like a autox.

The CR outperforms the Z in every performance category EXCEPT straight-line acceleration according to R&T.
Alright, I think I'm down to do this. I just need to know what time I need to be there at, what time it ends and what equipment I'll need (helmet etc.)

I'd expect to be there by 6:30am, for orientation, etc. Timing will not be available AFAIK, but you can always use your own devices
A SNELL approved helmet is required (as on all tracks).
Give either me or R&D factory a call if you need more info.

I hate to get all magazine racing like this, but that same professional driver is the one that recorded all the figures that show the S outperforming the Z in every aspect but straight-line acceleration.
The Z's power advantage is so overwhelming that the S's handling advantage isn't enough to make up the difference.
