Default Springs only for Nismo Z.

Who here has lowered their Nismo Z with springs only? I've read through numerous threads and it seems like everyone who lowered their Nismo has gone with coilovers or new springs/struts/shocks. I'm looking for a spring only drop. I just put 19" TE37's (9.5/10.5 wide, 255/35 and 275/35 tires) on and I just want to get rid of a little fender gap. If you've done springs only, what mfg. did you use? Post up pics if you have them.

Ill try to get some up. I just put the car into storage. I'm happy with the fender gap in the front, just need to close it up a little in the rear.

I'm not out to be mean or anything, but,................

Why would anyone that has a special version of a sports car, that has specific changes done to it to enhance what the car is, install much softer springs just to improve the looks of the car? I mean it toally goes against why you paid extra for the car in the first place.

Nismo Z
*Spring rates 424/576
* according to the factory the car uses springs that are +35% stiffer then oem

I wonder if the Nismo really has spring rates of 424/576. The ride rather decent so the mass dampers and matched shocks do their job.

If you try to put those springs a regular Z, the ride would be horribly rough.

First off, I completely hear you and knew that a reply like yours would be quick to come. I'm not looking to slam the car or completely disrupt the stock setup. I'm just looking to clean up the wheel gap. I can afford to buy coilovers but I'm really not interested is spending $1,000+ just to get a little drop. Although I have already searched endlessly and found all the information you've posted, I still appreciate it.

07Nismo350Z, car looks good.

Don't do it !!, I talk to someone who put pro-kit on and Fup the car. The car lost a lot of it's road feel and was too soft.

I'm going with HKS Hyper Max 3. Can't go wrong with that setup.

Also Un-matched springs will ware out your NISMO shocks, in which will run you almost $300 each.

Don't ruin the factory handling for a 1" drop. Coilovers are leave it alone.....

Be aware that altering the suspension height may cause you to have issues with camber
