Default Tire Pressure Sender

What is the pressure that the sender triggers for low tire pressure.. ?

I think if it drops below 30 psi the sensor will trigger.
You should keep it above 34 psi though.

I pumped my tires up to 45 psi for an auto X back in November so I didn't dig in my wheels on the broken tarmac, and havent lowered it yet because it is so cold up here in MA I figure it probably dropped by about 5 psi in the cold weather as is. Will this cause any serious damage to the tires leaving them this pumped up over the winter?

Thanks

27-28 PSI. The warning is set when the pressure is 25% below the "normal" operating pressure.

My sensor went off and I was surprised to find one of my rear tires was at 22psi.

After refilling the tire, the sensor went off the next day, but each tire was over 32psi. I reset each tire to 36psi and everything is now fine.

I typically check my tire pressure when I wash the car, but I haven't been washing the car too much lately.

You may have a slow leak...was it the rear driver side?

Me? Yeah, it was the rear driver side....how did you know?

I thought it was a slow leak too after the light went back on, but the tire has been holding pressure since.

It's a strange phenomenon. My 06 Base that I had also had the rear driver side leak. My 08 Nismo also had that same exact problem. There have been way too many people on this board with the same leak, on the same side, same tire. I don't know what to tell you other than

I am having issues with my TPMS. When it's cold the light comes on, but the pressure is still around 35psi. It seems like the light is on everyother day for no reason. I also have nitrogen so temp shouldn't make a difference anyway.

Nitrogen will slow the expansion or contraction of tires, but won't eliminate it. If your TPMS light is coming on, it's because the system is detecting one (or more) tires below 28#. Mine come on early in the morning, when tire pressures are particularly low. Some days the outside air temp is a bit higher and the system monitors this and shuts off the warning.
