Thumbs down Hit a ****** curb..need suggestions and where to get Rays wheels.

About a few weeks ago, I hit a curb taking a friend home last nite, and i hit it good. I did some good curb damage to the wheel on my front passenger. I cant find the Rays that came on my 07 nismo anywhere. so if anyone can point me towards a site that has them id appreciate it. Also, i cant take it to a mechanic yet or pull of the wheel because of all the snow we got here in Colorado. But i dont know if i bent the wheel or something else. When im driving down the road i feel a good vibration coming from the side i hit the curb and it increases as i go faster? any ideas? i hope its just a bent wheel. Thanks guys!

You may want to look here or eBay for used NISMO wheels. 4 used wheels may be less expensive than one new one.

If you can't determine if you did this a few weeks ago or last night, you might have some more pressing problems to deal with.

On a serious note, I would suggest this be an instance where you go to the dealership ASAP - drop the cash to get a brand new rim and have them do a quick inspect when doing the swap. If your lucky it will be just the rim and nothing else.

ROFL Take it to a service center and have them inspect the car with no wheel. If you hit it too hard the impact could have messed with a bearing or a spindle

My local body shop guy looked up the Nismo wheel and they are definitly available. Unfortunatly they got for about $900- 1000 a pop. Thats just obsurd.

Another option if the dings in the wheel aren't too deep, is to get it refinished and repainted. Or get all the wheels painted a grey or black or something

A member posted a thread on this when he had his wheels painted black. I thought it looked great. Without a pic its tough to tell if you can get it fixed or not, but I think refinishing isn't a bad option compared to the price of a new wheel

I had the same experience with my right front wheel. I talked to my dealer and he found one wheel but it was artound $800.00. So I found a place near Bath , PA, I am in NJ so it took me about 1 hour and 435 minutes to get there. Left the wheel ther I picked it up 2 weeks later and I was extremely pleased with their repair work, they even created a new sticker from scratch to match the NIsmo sticker on my Rays. I cost me a little over $200 but it was worth it. My wheel was not bent I just scrub a curb while my wife distracted me to look at something. I think the place is called Wheel Collision. You might be able to mail your rim and they will fix it, now they have the template for the sticker so it should take less time. They advertise in car magazines on the back pages.
