swap TPMS or not? Help me make up my mind
I am going to install my SF Challenges this Wednesday, however, Im thinking if i should take out the TPMS out from my stock Nismo wheels and put it into the volks
. (Im keeping my stock wheels after i put my sf challenges on) Is the tire pressure light going to be on all the time with my new volks if i don't put the TPMS in??
Help me out, thanks

If you do not add the sensor's then yeah the tire pressure light will be on all the time. Will flash on start up and then continue to stay on.
Best thing to do is buy another set of sensor's. Then you can swap rims whenever you feel like.

I'm not sure if the TPMS works differently in the 07-08 Z's, but on my previous '05 I had an aftermarket set of wheels on it and I did not swap the TPMS over at first. What would happen was that the light would stay off until after 20 minutes of constant driving (if you got stuck in stop-and-go traffic on the freeway, or at a light in town, the timer would reset). Once the light came on, it would stay on until you shut the car off. When you restarted the car, the light would be off again.
One weekend I picked up a nail close to the sidewall and put the stocks back on until I could get the tire looked at on Monday. Since they'd been sitting, the tires were a few PSI low and it kicked the light on (with the annoying beeping). I didn't worry about airing them back up since I was only going to be driving on them for a couple days. After I got my tire fixed and the other wheels put back on, the light stayed on. I had to put my stocks back on with the TPMS, air them up, and drive around until the light went out. After that, when I needed a new set of tires, I had them swap out the TPMS so I wouldn't have an issue again.
If the light came from not getting a reading, you shut off the car and it resets when you start up again. If the light came on from a low pressure reading, there was no way to shut it off without getting the pressure back up. That was my experience.
