i bought the last nismo in queens. I know that for a fact because while looking for it, i called every single nissan dealer in queens and only koeppel had one (which i bought). I dunno about bkln and the other boroughs though... i believe jersey has some left. Call around. good luck

what is the lowest OTD price you guys have gotten with 1.9% financing? I was given 29K plus ttl, but was told that the rebate was applied and will not get the 1.9% financing. dealer said either I get the $2500 rebate or go with the 1.9%. otherwise, price jumps to $31,500 plus ttl, with 1.9% financing. just so I'm clear, they said my financing application was good and qualifies for the 1.9%. so to those who bought your cars under 29k, was it financed thru nissan, thru your own finance institution, or cash? thanks for your inputs.

Default financing

As far as the 1.9% financing goes, i had a dealer tell me the same thing....you could either get that rate or the 2500.00 rebate on '08 models but not both...he quoted me 22,000 for an enthusiast model though with the rebate....said they would even put leather in it.....i probably should have jumped on that but didn't....i think they sold the last two of those they had.

Don't forget that the dealers have a $2500.00 sum of money due to them directly from Nissan just for selling their car. This is called dealer holdback and not something they want you to know exists. Make them give it up.........All dealers get it so when you bring it up and they give you the "What are you talking about response" call their bluff and make them use it to earn your business. Its nothing but pure profit for the dealer. Don't forget that the dealers make a large amount of money on the backside of your bank note when you allow them to arrange financing for you as well. Its a kick back from the bank for providing the business to them. They arent going to tell you about it, you have to educate yourself to prevent these guys from raping you at purchase time.

when i bought mine, i looked up every dealer within 600 miles of my location and checked their inventory for nismos. for the ones that had them, i called them up and asked to speaker directly to a sales manager. i told them i was out of town, and by cutting out the salesmen i got better quotes right there over the phone. i used these numbers as my bargaining power to bring down my local dealer ever further, and it worked out. if it didnt though, i was prepared to go out of town for one of those others... you should try that, you might be surprised.

According to Edmunds the dealer holdback on a Nissan is 2% of invoice (http://www.edmunds.com/advice/incent...ndex.html)--so that would be like $700 not $2500. Maybe Edmunds is wrong but are you sure about that number?

Hmm, how does holdback work when the car is going for almost 10K under MSRP?

I posted the exact dealer cost on the Nismo awhile back, but unfortunately that poster's threads were deleted.
