Hello every1, i'm currently seeking some advice from people who may be familiar with the Apex'i ATS (Active Tail Silencer), i'm currently debating on purchasing these for my dual apex'i n1 turboback mufflers. I purchased the magnaflow x pipe and am waiting for install when i get back, if the noise level is still high, i'm thinking about purchasing these. The site says the power levels won't be affected but i'm worried about how the sound would be, if anyone has any experience on them, please share, thank you


The only reason i'm considering this is due to the fact i'm running berk technology HFC's with a true dual setup using 2.5 inch piping, i plan on replacing my headers in about 5 months to the stillen 304 heads but the sound from the exhaust system is undeniably LOUD, i'm looking to lower this to something a bit more comfortable and less attracting for the police (pulled over twice same day for the sound alone but no tickets tho)

 

i've used the apex'i ats before and lets just say it works but a sound comes out that you wouldn't want coming from a z...you may have to rethink your exhaust set up...tanabe is probably the brand your gonna be looking for in terms of noise level...but give the greddy spectrum elite exhaust a try...good luck to ya

 

Pulled over twice in the same day? That sucks! It sounds like you've already dropped a lot of cash into your set up... You may have to change it all together. That would suck even more. With HFC's (any brand), headers and any true dual exhaust, it's gonna be loud. Good luck!

 

i'll look up the greddy's, i'm also in the process of getting an uprev ecu flash for my Z, which depending afterwards, i may have to find some resonators if anything to place onto my piping
