without bashing on somebody or playing the fanboy game...
how in the hell anybody without water temperature and oil temperature gauges know if overheats in certain condition or not?

in texas summer I'm not even sure isn't going to overheat the oil even with a damn huge cooler.

for sure... is going to keep oil temperature at a more reasonable value and considering that there is a oil/water heat exchanger, is going to help (for how it's possible) the water.

I had my ps fluid boiling last year in a tight track ( grand sport speedway )
I had water boiling in the same track
I had differential fluid boiling pretty much every time before I switched to 80% lock and had the plate WPC treated
and I had clutch fluid boiling at texas world speedway last event...

so... I don't think that my oil is in a better shape... I just don't know.

Are you going to TWS this weekend June 6-7? I'll be there, but probably without my car due to my tire issue.

I'm not sure the mechanic could do the job on time... he's working on some lemons car for the race in Louisiana next weekend.
but I'll know that later this afternoon, I'll let you know.
I'll be at MSR for the texas Z party on the 20 and probably the following week at TWS.

edit: no tws this weekend

It doesn't, maybe the OP just wants extra cooling.

I don't know if during the summer gets around 100F in minnesota... in texas it does... and if you use the car on a track the oil gets too hot really fast.
on the road of course isn't needed.

The HR can and does overheat engine oil on the track, even at cooler ambient temps (~50F). I've recorded 280-285 regularly during 20-30 min sessions. That's 370z limp mode territory. Also I'm short shifting around 6k-6.5 because flogging the car for a few more HPs isn't worth it to me.
How's the 19 row doing for you Atauru (max temps)? I'm thinking about a Setrab 25 row Series 9 or 34 row Setrab or Earl's. Can anyone comment in fitting these sizes into the 350z Nismo? I know the trick on flipping the Yamaha damper or possibly pulling it (prefer not to pull it though). Will be using a thermostat sandwich plate and Aeroqip socketless hoses w/ AN10 fittings. Any comments on the hoses? Thanks!

Good choice honestly! If I lived in Texas, these mods would also be high on my list. Not so much the power steering cooler unless I tracked my car but definately the oil cooler... An oil cooler is always a wise choice. Your adding capacity and cooling all in one!!! There is no denying they prolong the life of engines!..

One of my favorite sayings as an amatuer marine biologist/reefer is "The solution to pollution is dilution."

Thumbs up in my book

how has the nismo ps cooler worked in keeping the ps from boiling???

I semi don't believe in it as its only a two row pass system, only a wee bit bigger than the oem unit?? wondering if it has done the job?

curious??

I was wondering if someone was gonna make a comment about it. Better than stock, but like you have shown there are better/cheaper alternatives. I still need to revise/improve my mounts for my DIY setup, but the original ones I made up are still holding strong. They're just not pretty.

^ Ya exactly..........the cost of the nismo PS cooler is up there in comparison....

plus the added rows in a DIY set up is certainly solving my problem..my fluid doesnt boil at all..
