Count on $45K sticker (keep in mind, the fully loaded 370 Touring with Nav and Sport Package is $42K) and with the inevitable dealer markup (despite the crappy auto market and Nissan's crappy sales compared to Toyota and Honda), the street price will be around $50K.
If it's really that high, Nissan will turn off many customers and cause them to look at a C6.

HA! Whoa at 44K, thats way too high. Even at 40K, and we all know by now the resale on these cars are horrendous. Theres no way Id buy this car, its a real specialty car and Id have to have a lot of extra dough if I really wanted it. At 44K, Id rather put in a few extra grand and get a slightly used E92 M3 or a 2006 Z06, and dont anyone say otherwise about bolt ons and mods that it could compete with either of the two. This one doesnt have the seam welded frame either. They're headed in the wrong direction again. When the Z was introduced the track model was 34K. This is nearly 10K more. I know about inflation and all but JEEZZ.

Okay first off I'm not saying the 350 Nismo is a better car because it probably isn't at the end of the day (of course the 370 doesn't get the extra cool spot welding ). But if you could still buy 350 Nismo's for $30Kish is the 370 Nismo really that much better of a car to warrant an additional $10K plus? I know no one here has driven one so I guess time will tell the answer but that seems like a lot of cash to me.

Since the NISMO 350z was about the same price as a grand touring z, I'd say it'll stick to that same pricing platform. So i'm guessing it'll be around $39-42K msrp, theres no way in hell it'll be near $50K, I'd buy a C6 then.
From Road and Track:we're expecting something in the neighborhood of $37,000.

Also, NAV and Bose and power/leather seats arent options. We'll see where it gets priced out I guess. Im thinking if you fully load up a normal 370 with sport/touring/nav/mudguards, etc, it might be similar price.

Nissan's whole appeal is that it can produce a car with the performance numbers of BMW's, and Porsche's for nearly half the price.
I think you will see the Nismo come out at around $40,000 MSRP. Which I think is very reasonable for the numbers it will put up.
When it first comes out dealers will try to sell it for about $45-50K and then when they realize they can't move them they will come down to MSRP and if Nissan makes this Nismo as ridgid as the 350 you will shortly find that the average person who likes the looks of the car will not buy it because the ride it to hard, its impracticle, etc...
Once this happens, which I really hope it does, you will see the Nismo going for invoice once again.
What people say and do are completely different. Look at this forum for example. All of a sudden when people listed the price of the Nismo all those guys who were "O sick car I'm picking up one of these" turn to "well thats kind of high, I'll get a 335i for half the price, and a 335i is so much sicker than a nissan."
I think they set a good standard with the 350 Nismo. I hope Nissan really defines there Nismo brand as a hardcore car with the 370.
