Default 2008 Nismo Z Carbon Fiber Hood

So just to get this out for other Nismo owners.........DO NOT COLOR SAND YOU CAR TO REMOVE ANY IMPERFECTIONS OR SCUFFS!!! Apparently Nissan puts color in the clear on the Nogaro Red and when I used 2000grit to remove a scuff on my hood I opened a can of worms you really want to avoid. Now after visiting a speaking with several high end painters in the area everyone is in agreement that I will be chasing this aroung basically the whole car in an effort to match the paint. Obviously I dont want to paint a 3500 mile Nismo so my next best idea would be to just replace the hood with Carbon Fiber. Does anyone have any opinion on Seibon Products Hoods? Im curious how the fit and finish was and the overall quality. I can't locate many images of a 2008 350Z with a hood like this on it and not a single image of a Nismo Z with one on it. Does anyone have any better ideas either???

Thanks alot guys for all the help, I tried to order the TS but its on back order for 4 weeks so I settled on the VSII instead. I liked the VT as well but I think it was kinda over the top with too many vents in different places and the large vent on the VSII should hopefully be useful for the twin turbo setup coming soon.

I'll get you a picture if you still want it. I noticed with the VSII my engine ran slightly cooler. The vent does a good job of letting off heat. You can sit there and see it coming out.

I had a question about all those vents in the hood...
Doesn't water get in when it is raining.... ??
I was always curious about that...

The stock hood weighs lesser than these carbon fiber hoods. Unless if you use a dry carbon fiber hood. The only problem is that the dry carbon hoods cost $$$

Does the hood come with a rain gutter? I had a G35 with the TS hood and there were no rain gutters, but i drove it through winters without a rain gutter and it seemed to be ok.

It's subjective, it's his car, if he likes it... who cares?

Honestly, I don't think it looks bad. Different, but not bad.

ps - remove stock wipers asap.
