Default Looking for a Nismo

Hey guys,

I am new to the forum and figured this would be one of the best places to submit my request. I am looking for a 2007 or 2008 Nismo preferrably in silver or white with a reasonable amount of miles on it. Does anyone know of a dealership nearby that has one? I need to trade my 2009 Scion TC in on the purchase of the z.

I live in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Thanks.

Im looking for cheaper than 34k, but thanks for the offer. I got some offers from a few dealerships of like 32 and 33k for a new 08 but im looking to spend in the neighborhood of 25-28k on one if I can find one.

Why would you not trust CarMax? They are well known. My friend saw this car in person anyways says it was in good shape, just needed all the stickers removed.

Sadly, 4 months ago you could have picked up a new 2008 Nismo for $29K. Dealers were desperate to unload the slow selling models - I saw several go for that much, including one here in Baton Rouge.

You are going to be hard pressed to locate a vehicle at your pricepoint from a
dealer. You are pressing an ebay price. You must also consider tax costs and
potential finance charges.

I have spoken with many dealerships in the region about their 08 Nismos that are still on the lot. Lowest I got one was 32k but after all finance charges and taxes it was going to be near 34k. I do not want to finance that much so I was looking for a used one. I am sure that a 2007 out there with around 15-25k miles would be willing to be let go for around 25k. As a matter of fact, I have been speaking to a dealer about one. The problem is that it is black and i am too much of a perfectionist to try to keep up with a black car.

Keep informing me of any that you may know of that people want to get rid of.

Thanks guys

Dont know the name..I guess..so I sit corrected..CarMax is good..?

Still makes me wonder how CarMax has a '08 Nismo less than 2k miles on her..What is the story behind that one??..Eh..dont know but for me buying a 350z Nismo has to be from a Nissan Dealer or the orig. owner with all paper included. To each his own I guess.

I wish the OP luck in his search ..I have been searching for a dealer to actually come back to earth/reality when it comes to a realistic price for a 350z..much less a Nismo edition.

I agree Toasterflyer. The market is so screwed up with the Nismo's right now. People are trying to sell used Nismos for more than the cost of "new" ones. Guess ill just have to sit and wait until a deal comes across.

Shaun,

Its not just Nismo 350z's..its all 350zs. Most are from used car dealers not really knowing what model the have and putting very unrealistic prices on them. I have bid on 2Nismos on Ebay both times the high bidder..and both times the reserve was not met.

They and others have been relisted.. take a look at my "dealers are funny thread"..

I have not given up on some sense FINALLY seeping into the brains of the Nissan dealers that have 350z Nismos in stock. And hey if the 350z was still in production it would be a different story ..Its not and the 350z is now part of the Nissan history books..(sadly I might add)..

Shaun,

below is an email exchange between me and a Nissan Dealer regarding a 350z Nismo..

Dealer:

Hi Richard,
I can sell you that car for $34,000 + tax and license, and plus shipping. Please get back to me and let me know your thoughts. Thank you kindly and I look forward to hearing from you.

My reply:

Brian,

My thoughts are.. that price is way too high. Considering I can step into a 370z for cheaper and I can get that right down the street. 27-28K for the 350z Nismo out the door done deal. If you want I will buy today and you get that 2008 car off your lot.. soon it will be 2010...and I know the 370z Nismo edition is out or will be out very soon, with almost the same sticker price as the 350z Nismo, they should not even be close in price at this point.

I wish you luck trying to sell the 350z Nismo at that price.. I know for a fact that you will NOT sell
that car for over 30k.

Well keep me posted if your prices do come down to reality. Im ready for a 350z Nismo.

Take care
Rich
***so add the tax and license and whatever else they add and your back up to like 36-38K..(I would arrange my own shipping and def. NOT let the dealer do it.)

Exactly, Im going into the dealership next week with a check and see if they want to go down to 30k for the car. I got one dealership down to 32k but that was as far as i could go over the phone and through email.

Im thinking that if i show up in person with a check, they will know that i mean business and they will be able to get the car off their lot before it accrues more depreciation
