Sad that all these bashers have never heard that setup..

A Z/G with no muffler is better sounding than pretty much any other exhaust out there for these cars.. NA of course.

LOL

But to be honest, when I was readjusting my bassani a few weeks ago I had to take the mufflers out and I started it just for kicks with the x-pipe and mid-pipes and it sounded MEAN. I was very surprised... not too loud, and it had a very exotic note, and growled loud when I got on it... very nice surprise

Yeah I saw this after I just made the post about my bassani, I bet all of those bashers would be surprised at how it sounds... I certainly was extremely surprised although I had an xpipe and not a y pipe... and not to mention isn't it much less restrictive? Why so much bashing... people love to **** on others I guess. Let him do what he pleases

Thank you...

Some people here.. Heads so far up their asses.. Stubborn.

Yes. Your THREE FIFTY Z ( THREE FIVE ZERO Z)/ GEE THIRTY FIVE (GEE THREE FIVE) Sounds AMAZING without a muffler.

Yes, it sounds better than pretty much any thing aftermarket.. Accept the facts.

If it helps.. People with their $30,000+ Evo 10's are riding stock without mufflers and those sound great too.

We don't drive Porches here. I don't think people are interested in buying an exhaust thats worth 10% of their car's value.

I just read that other thread too, this place is really going down the ******* and I just got here in Feb! Maybe I just didn't see it before. That last thread is horrendous this guy just wanted to show some people what he did and everyone has to chime in and be the biggest *******s they can be. Whatever happened to that if you don't like it, SHUT THE FCK UP! Telling someone they completely f*cked up their car because they took their muffler off is ridiculous.. grow up. If he claimed that he had the better exhaust performance over aftermarket systems then maybe they could say something, but he didn't ever say that once, and still people couldn't help themselves but to chime in about how he should have bought x, y, or z exhaust systems instead. He wanted to change up the sound (which is a damn good sound IMO), lost a few lbs in the process and wanted to share it with us. What's the BFD?

I ran my Z with no muffler from my house to a local shop when i got rear-ended. Sounded mean as H3ll. Just a lil too loud for DD IMO.

searched for a sound clip of this setup (muffler delete) on youtube and found a few people that did this to their Z's. I assume the OP's car would sound something like this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoszzFd_phA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqDWC9c4mTY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cOXvsLrg34

Personally, I would never do that to my car, let alone a Nismo.

Knowing this site, im not surprised by the comments thus far........that being said...keep your comments clean and per our TOU or well start handing out infractions/bans, etc.....

You must remember mod'n a car is beauty in the eye of the beholder.......bash all you want, OP is actually prepared for it with his:

me personally, a car not running exhaust has no back pressure........so i would think hes leaning out the car and can possibly, with time, cause damage......I wouldnt do it, but once again "its to each their own"

keep it clean or keep it off...........

I heard that on my "normal" Z, sir while waiting to put the new mufflers on.
It is nice but it is also NOT NICE if you know what I mean...

But hey, it is HIS nismo and whether he wants to make it nicer or ugglier...
I just feel sad for the car, but it is just me, lol

Taking the muffler off doesn't sound that bad. Pretty low down below. Starts to scream up top. Idle is very quiet.

You'd be surprised how decent it sounds.. and I'd venture to say it sounds better than half of the exhausts out there.

I had my car just with the y pipe and it sound really agressive, but it was way too loud to be driving everyday with it, and the cabin vibrated a lot

I don't see what the big deal is. Yea its ghetto but its still probably quieter than my TurboXS, and the Porsche and Lambo crowd have been doing muffler delete pipes for years as a popular and respectable mod.

From a looks standpint, IMO all Z's with a single exit exhaust look a little weird but to each his own.
