Yes, running Hancook V12s in that size, stock Nismo, with no rub or concerns of rubbing.

Sorry, I was mistaken on the size. I'm running 275s not 285s. I still think you'd be fine though. Seems like there is a guy here in Colorado running 295s without issue.

Necrobumping, i know, but currently in this same situation. Not a large variety of tires available in the stock 265/35/19 size so discount tire is recommending i look at 275 and 285's. What are the pros/cons of running the wider tire? Any specific purpose for doing so besides tire selectioN?
It's mostly for looks. You would also get more contact with the road. I went with Potenza S-04 pole possitions in 285/35/19 with stock suspension on stock wheels and it clears with no issues. I've taken corners at high speeds and have had no rubbing issues. I kind of wish I would've bought 295s.

How does it affect tread/sidewall geometry? does it give it a weird shape to be so much wider than wheel?

It's actually NOT wider than the wheel. 265 have a stretched look and you can tell by this pic that you can go a little wider since the sidewall isn't "flat" and this pic is 285/35/19
just had a blonde moment... sorry about that. The tire will be wider than the wheel but I was talking about the inner part which will actually be tucked inside the wheel. So it won't look or fit weird.
