I like what you did. I had a full custom exhaust done on mine, sports cats included, and ironically it looks very similar to yours. I'll post some pics of mine in the next couple of days so you can see (I'm on my wife's computer late at night at home and my pics are on my office computer). I get a lot of looks, smiles, etc. from the looks and sound. Bet you do too. Nice.
Did you dyno your car to see the improvements? Are you going to do any type of ECU remap to take even greater advantage of the exhaust? That's my next step. I'm not going to do forced induction, as I prefer to keep it naturally aspirated.

Looks good mike!
Looks a lot better then the other tips!
Yep, that's pretty much all the stock NISMO exhaust is. It is "tuned" so the sound is more aggressive then a stock 350z exhaust, and some people claim it's made by HKS
I will say that the stock muffler was HEAVY!

Re: question why I didn't go with a name brand, to make a long story short, at the time I owned an exotic car time share business, and had several exotics, so got to know a tuning shop that specialized in custom mods for exotics. After viewing and hearing their work on BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, etc., I decided to give them a shot at a custom exhaust for my Nismo. Have had it for 2 years, and very happy with it. I did, however, practice some restraint in that they wanted to do a custom twin turbo job on it, and I said "no way".
I don't know how to quote a comment in my reply, need to figure that out, so sorry. Re: the "rice" comment, I'm guilty as charged I guess
I'm a man of variety and have a few cars because of their unique looks and driving attributes.
Hey, NISMOMIKE, I see a red Corvette in your garage. Nice! I had a red, '06 C06 that I loved, but alas, I had to sell it last year, along with some of my other toys. I'm saving up for another one though, and will get a used Grand Sport when I can.

It'd be a lot easier if you minded your own business regardless. I 'lol @ u' for your amazing butchery of the English language... If you're going to talk (or in this case type) down to someone, at least try to communicate your point in a coherent fashion.
I have no regrets about my exhaust, it netted great gains and I personally prefer the sound to that of the X02.. simple as that. Had I prefered the note of the HKS, I would have purchased it. The power gains are quite comparable, the x-pipe was a simple 'bonus' per say.
Sadly, I took the time to peruse your recent contributions to the exhaust forum and that is my opinion... or lack thereof. Negativity riddled with insults and holier than thou of anything you deem to be unsatisfactory for subjective reasons. But hey, that's just my *opinion* of your general contributions to this forum... espesially when it comes to exhausts.

Mike, the thread pushed me over the edge... and I did the X-Pipe mod on the X02 exhaust. I didn't understand how the exhaust output sound would drop only a hair and the cabin noise fall almost back to stock but it does. As well get a little bit of the engine's sound back. Only thing I didn't like is it took alittle more of the "rasp" away than I would have liked, but in all the system should have come like this.
My X02 has finally bought the farm. All the insides of all the mufflers have came unglued or unwelded. The midpipe is the worst, its a total rattling nightmare. If u put the car on a lift and bang on the pipes it makes horrid pennys in a jar noises. The pipes on the back all did the same crap too.
So it lasted 15 months and cost me 399$. So guess ill just get another whole system lol.
