I have actually been tracking this particular car for just over a week when I found it listed on autotrader. I have spoken to the used car deal over the past week - Dennis. He's a used car dealer and I usually do not trust used car dealers as they do not disclose in full detail. For instance after a few days of speaking with him over the phone and emails to confirm the condition of the car is near new without any blemishes, issues, respray, or body work. I ask him almost a week later to do a double check and make sure there are no issues as I would be coming cross country for this car. He finally discloses the drivers side wheel has a slight curb rash as he put it. So I asked him if its around the edge of the rim or on the face and how long is the rash. He says its on the edge of the rim and only about 6" long. I said thanks for disclosing this (In my head I was like - it took a week of communications before you disclosed this?) but I would like to see a pic of the rash. He sent me a pic of the wheel and guess what it showed - curb rash the whole circumference of the wheel! Not just 6" around as he told me but it was around the whole wheel. This left a bad taste in my mouth. He's like any typical used car dealer hiding the facts and not disclosing all - buyer beware. No wonder the price is so appealing and the mileage is so low, there has to be a reason for this. I'm just glad I didnt leave him a deposit and fly out to Cali - as I would be a very very unhappy customer.

Ah good detective work! I never would have known. And while some wheel damage is purely cosmetic, like you said who knows what else he is hiding

agreed that is still a good price but good luck with the e46 if that is your next purchase.
if you were searching for nismos online you had to have run across my old nismo. its at autobarn evanston with roughly 200 miles and they are asking 34k for it.

Curb rash is easily repairable though... for the price if it's the only thing you'd still be getting a good deal, I understand the bad taste in your mouth however. Ask for complete pics of interior, exterior, wheels, engine bay, exhaust, door, rocker panels etc in high def though and that should be good assuming there are no mechanical issues.. (and how could there be?).
