Sorry to hear that. I'm glad you are doing alright! Looking at your car makes me want to not drive it on the road anymore. That's such a horrible thing to see. I hope she is doing alright? Is your chassis still intact? Good luck! My regards to your nismo.

Any suggestions on exhaust replacement? I was thinking of going with HKS but does anyone know of a better one out there? I do not want it ridiculously loud and kind of like the throaty, distinct sound of the 350 and do not want to lose that sound too much.

Thanks

Look here for exhaust options. If you are NA, they will all pretty much make the same power. If you are boosted, look into a true dual. With our diffuser, you will be able to see a lot of the muffler(s) so I would pick out a handful you think look good, and then visit YouTube to see which you think sounds the best.

Sucks man, good luck getting it all figured out.

Just curious, but did he hit you from behind on the entrance ramp because you were yielding to the traffic on the freeway? Or did you pull out in front of him?

This specific spot on the interstate is really bad. The merging lane onto the interstate is also the same lane used for those exiting I12 and getting on I55 so you have people trying to go in 2 different directions with only a very short distance to do this in.

I will attempt to explain the accident:
I come up the ramp to then merge onto I12 from I55. When I get to the top, there are two retards stopped in the merging lane because they are too indecisive to merge onto the interstate. Right when this happens, I realize the danger I am in and start honking and yelling trying to get the two cars in front of me to get out of my way because I am a sitting duck for anyone who comes up the entrance ramp not paying attention or anyone looking to exit I12 to get on I55. The cars in the lane closest to me slow down and the car in front of me merges, but there is still the car that was in front of them. Right when this happened, I was looking over my left shoulder to try to merge and then the guy who was coming from I12 to exit, hit me from behind.

Basically, 100% his fault, but the indecisive mongoloids who were stopped didn't help the situation. I can't stand dumb people, especially when they cause harm to me or my property.

Hopefully that explains the situation better.

Damn, that sucks man.

I know what you mean about the exit/entrance combos on the highways. The roads around me (Norfolk/VA Beach) are the same way. It is so dumb, especially considering that there is a fair amount of traffic in the area due to all the military bases and tourism. Just like you said, you have people trying to enter the highway and people trying to get off of it all in the same hundred feet. Sad.

Good luck bro, hope it all works out for you. Sad to see a clean car get smashed into like that.

Yeah, it does. Oh well, if it can be fixed, I guess ill just start building the hell out of it. I was going to keep it stock before the accident but no reason now, no resale value. If its totaled, guess Ill be in a PPW 370 sport and start over.

I have tossed around the idea of getting a cheaper car and getting the Ducati I have been wanting but probably won't. This was definately a testament to how well these cars are made. I got dominated from behind and walked away without injury. Go Nissan.

[QUOTE=Kcee91;8513000]Hey, How's the status of the car? Did the insurance total it?[/QUOTE

Took the insurance company a week to get it to the body shop. They have it now, and I should be meeting with the adjuster on Monday to go over it. Not sure of status yet. I do know that it will need a new rear bumper (~$2,000), a new spoiler (~$3,000) not to mention a new exhaust sytem, hatch and passenger rear fender along with any damage that could not be seen from the exterior. It's going to be an expensive fix for the insurance company
