Does anyone know approximately the number of nismos made in each of the 4 colors? I am wondering because I am trying to get the most out of the insurance company that is paying off my totaled Nismo. I had a PPW. I can not find any PPW nismos for sale except for one in california, over 1700 miles away from me, but I can find plenty of the red, black and silver.
If I have a valid argument regarding the rarity of the PPW, it is possible that they will give me some more money seeing as though it is roughly impossible for me to purchase another car, the same as the one I just had (PPW, excellent condition, low miles).
BTW, the insurance company is using and average price of Nismos sold in the area by dealerships, which have all been of the other 3 colors.
Thanks,

David, I would have to say that I disagree with your statement. There is a premium for color, it is just hard to quantify it because it is generally a buyer preference which changes from person to person. You purchased a 370 sport right? If you wanted the white, and all they had on the lot were black cars, you would probably state that you do not like the black as much and then they would probably come down on the price, say $500. This would mean that there is a $500 premium that you would pay for the white, right?
I am trying to substantiate my argument as to the fact that the white is a rarer color (probably because it is a 3 stage pearl), therefore to replace my previous car, it is that much harder. Catch my drift?
I am just trying to squeeze every dime out of this situation because I spent so much energy purchasing the first nismo less than a year ago, and now I am stuck doing it again.

Shaun,
Here's another one for you that may be a bit closer. Sorry I can't help you with the original question though.

While not scientific, you can use Autotrader to get a pretty quick estimate.
In my nationwide search for 07-08 350Z's with under 15,000 miles and manual transmissions, my search yielded as follows (Nismo ONLY)
Black: 14
Red: 12 (this included both Redline & Nogaro)
Silver: 6
White: 2

Nissan has never published offical sales number by color, trim or model. The closest you'll find is something like the 1,000 40 anniversary cars they are making. Actual production may vary and like the rest of the line, they won't provide a breakdown.
As for your argument that one color is more rare than another, unless it was built into the sticker price and you paid more for it, your insurance company won't give a rats ***.

yeah, you guys are probably right. It was an attempt to get more for my car because I know they are going to give me what it is "worth" but not actually what I can replace it for.

Shaun123,
I'll sell you mine, I'm located in N.Alabama, looking at a 370 Nismo presently. I have an '08 with 11,400mi. Talked with the local Nissan stealership on Friday about trading, they only wanted to give me 23,700 for mine (I laughed), although that is what Edmunds says is a fair TI price. Decided at that point to sell mine out right. Shoot me a PM if your interested and I'll send you some pics.
