Default Agency Power Exhaust on a Nismo?

I've been recently shopping for a single exit exhaust for the Nismo and I came across the Agency Power Ti exhaust system. I gotta admit I fell in love with them at first sight; They look beautiful and most of all they sound awesome based on several sound clips. However I had one major concern...Will they fit on a Nismo? I've been hearing that there are a few exhaust systems that will not be compatible with the Nismo due to its rear fender, and I noticed that the Agency Power Exhaust is angled a little bit to the left compared to other single-exit exhaust systems. Does anyone have this exhaust on a Nismo or has ever seen one a Nismo before.

I'm sure it will fit. I mean look at the JIC Magic Spartan - can't be THAT different. Plus it looks like there is a bunch of room for an angled can.

I was looking at that same pic but it seems like it would be a tight fit for the angled exhaust. But when I was looking at my car last night I realized I could just unscrew the underside of the fender which would give me more room. So worst comes to worst if it doesn't fit i'll just probably remove the underside of the fender.

IMO I do not like the single exhaust on the back of the 350. If I were to change from the Nismo exhaust, I would go true duals. Just my $.02.

Bills bills bills. If I didn't have them I would have had a twin turbo charged 350z supercar with everything you can imagine sitting in my garage by now. But money isn't the only reason why I am settling for a single exit exhaust. First of all it weighs less, gives more HP (not compared to a true dual), and this particular single-exit exhaust, I think, would give the car a little bit more attitude the fact that its slightly angled and it just looks soo badass and sounds amazing.

The thread was about the agency power on a nismo. Not what shaun cares about.

actually champ, if you read the OP's last sentence, it specifically states, "what do you guys think?" which to me means, "what is your opinion on this matter?" That is why I stated my opinion. I am not one to go around imposing my opinion on others when they want to do something to their car, because well, it is their car. But if someone asks my opinion on the matter, I will state it.

OP replied stating that it supposedly adds more hp and is lighter and he prefers the look. It seems that he has done his homework, likes this exhaust and thus should purchase.

Hehe I appreciate everybody's feedback and opinions. It may be negative or positive, I am open to whatever you guys have to say. But anyways I have decided after much contemplating and searching that this is the exhaust I am going to purchase. Who knows, I will probably be the first nismo owner to do this; so I'll post some pics as soon as I install them. Wish me luck hopefully they fit......

I think it will fit fine. I have a ING+1 rear and my Agency Power fit within two inches of touching the bumper. Agency Power has awesome quality and fitment.

FYI - Since you aren't going FI, it does not matter what cat-back exhaust you put on; they will all make the same power. Down pipes and the y-pipe is where the power is at on the NA 350. Actually, a non-true dual exhaust with y-pipe can even make more power than a true dual on a NA 350, especially when it comes to low-end torque. Here is what Tony from Motordyne Engineering says:

In my research I found that, on a NA application, it is important to merge the exhaust gasses together for optimum performance. The XYZ Y-Pipe does this at the optimum point and angle.

It looks like it should fit correctly, worst case scenario you could get an exhaust shop to bend it a tad straighter.

BTW, welcome to the forum and be sure to checkout the SoCal section:

Yes I totally agree that all cat back exhaust would give me the same power, but again what separates the agency power from other cat back exhaust is its sexy look, well IMO.But wow I didn't know this setup could make more power than a true dual. Two weeks ago I purchased and installed berk hfc's and all I have to say is WOW. Based on what your saying, purchasing this cat back should be a promising setup.

Yes, and to add to this idea, Tony also mentions:

It doesn’t matter if the merged exhaust gasses are split back into two or left together as one after the Y-pipe.

So yes, you will have the look you want with the added power of any cat-back. I think your mind is made! Now hurry up and buy/install the thing so I can add it to my Nismo exhaust thread =)

It will fit but as others have stated, a dual would look better.

Also, on my friend's DE, it sounds great at speed but when idling, it drones a lot and it eventually gets really tiresome.

Well here it is you guys!!! Sorry I forgot to leave a feedback about the exhausts sooner, I guess I got too carried away with how awesome this thing is hehe. Anyways I got it two weeks ago; installing it was easy, but as I suspected, I had a minor fitting issue with the bumper. I took care of it by shaving off a little bit of plastic where the canister juts out. Overall this exhaust was everything I hoped it to be. The look is very sexy, the sound is really awesome, and it definitely added more power. Setting this exhaust with Berk HFC definitely makes this one: one sick setup. The sound just echos throughout Malibu canyon every time I go on canyon runs. However the drone at cruising speed can be quite loud. I can barely hear my radio when I am cruising 70 mph on the freeway at 2k to 3k rpm on 6th gear. Oh well radio stations in my area suck anyway. lol Here are the pics enjoy!!
