Yikes, sorry to hear about the slave.

Edit: I just noticed that you're running the JWT clutch and flywheel setup. That being said, I highly doubt Nissan will be covering that under any warranty. Maybe the recall? Also, if you were running the stock slave, it was probably only a matter of time before the slave blew. JWT seems notorious for blowing stock slaves on HR's. Since it's aftermarket, I would highly recommend you go with custompartz's heavy duty metal slave.

And I'm pretty sure the trans needs to be dropped since the CSC is inside the housing.
Let us know how things go. Good luck with the situation!

damn bro that sucks your slave gave out. the warranty will save your *** with this one. here's the recall:

https://my350z.com/forum/vq35hr/3281...-cylinder.html

and yes you do have to drop the tranny because on the 07+ the CSC is located inside the tranny bell housing. for the 03-06 it's more easily accessible.

Thanks for the tips guys, that makes sense about the JWT owning the slave...So heres the deal. I called a few dealerships...Basically the car had already had the recall performed (I believe in 08) before I was the owner. Also, that's apparently not a part of the transmission so the warranty wont cover it. Thankfully I can do the work myself, but I didn't want to pay for the parts. Since the CSC is located in the tranny, I'm gonna have to pull it, but it seems like it wouldn't be too hard...

Just asking because ive seen that on many other pics or 350z's and when i take hi-res pics of my car theres no reflection like that
FYI: The rainbow effect on the headlights is from the polarized lens on the camera.

^^^Well heres a little update that may answer some questions. Basically, my stock slave cylinder could not handle my JWT clutch. Apparently, this is a common problem for any HR transmissions with an aftermarket clutch. Anyone with any kind of aftermarket clutch is prone to this kind of failure.

Here is a link for more info, which will explain why this part is needed for aftermarket clutches...After researching some, its definitely a great product to have that apparently hasn't failed on anyone yet.

https://my350z.com/forum/vq35hr/4749...-and-info.html

Oh and btw, still waiting on the part...

Hopefully everyone learns by now when your clutch goes if youčre going aftermarket get this slave kit... sure, you can drop the trans whenever assuming you have the know how and space but it's avoidable if you're going aftermarket for a couple hundred bucks while you're down there.

Pics and log would be great though
