Nismo know it all's
He happens to be right. There was no official NISMO 350Z sold in the US until the 2007 model year. There was a catalog of "aftermarket", available-through-your-dealer-parts, from when the car first was sold here and in Japan. These were S Tune and R Tune products. Suspension (labelled as NISMO), brake pads, lines, headers, exhaust (made by Fujitsubo), graphics, aero stuff, etc. All these were dealer installed parts to the best of my knowledge. None were assembled from Nissan Japan that way for the US market. Some people who have some, or all of these mods, have decided that their car is also a "NISMO" model by default, but they are just plain 350Zs with whatever products the owners decided to change, like many of us here.
The dampers on your car were released in 2007 (late) with the addition of the NISMO edition here in the US, and the NISMO edition (and 380RS, 2 separate models) in Japan. They were not available previous to that, so odds are those were installed by the previous owner long after the car was built
Calsonic makes the stock 350Z exhaust in all markets, so nothing special there.
All 350Z's were made at Tochigi as of Fall 2003 IIRC
Push button starters were never offered by Nissan/NISMO on any 350Z model either as stock or as an aftermarket part. The button itself is relatively easy to install and connect to the factory keyswitch. Some companies have sold kits in the past to do this, specific to the Z using the starter from a variety of different cars, including the S2000, Altima, GTR, etc.

Well, I guess yes which is why I came to this forum as I was getting conflicting info. I am not new to cars. I have owned many muscle cars (Camaros) and there was also conflicting information for years in regards to the 1st Gen, and 2 Gen and I have owned both. Because of the many inquiries that led to many people and Chevrolet to go back and begin a data base for those cars and some surprising information came out of that. Like the Z10 option.... for many years it was debated as to whether they existed.
The Z11 option for anyone not familiar was the 69 pace car, which was white with orange Z stripes, hounds tooth interior and convertible top. This was not very practical for the eastern states and well money talks, so some of the coupes were ordered with all of the Z11 options delete the convertible top....leading to the VIN of Z10. Even within the
Chevrolet Co it was a debate as they did not track this option #. In the early 1980s a California car in the car club I belonged to changed that and was actually put on the cover of a popular muscle car magazine. So with that in mind, I was just looking for information and not claiming I had some rare car. And as far as dealer options... COPO camaros were an option that a dealer had an outside company build on order that was sold though the dealership, similar to Boss, and Saleen mustangs. No one would ever call them "aftermarket" and if you possess one of the older models they are worth a bundle.

RS when they are not kinda bothers me. I had a 1968 camaro from 1981-=1986 no RS no SS just a 327 4 MT. Odd enough it had multi leaf rear springs and a 10 bolt LSD ? Some one must have put that on ???? right. Well during that time clutch replacement and found we had a Muncey transmission..... some one must have put that on ????? right, we knew many camaro people, clubs ect. Long after we sold it, it was discovered that there was infact a factory order for this type of car now referred to as the baby SS. Only thing missing was the larger motor ! Now we will never know if that was one of those cars, but they are worth quite a bit because so few were made. So you cant always think you know EVERYTHING cause sometimes little things get missed. And that is why I was asking questions. Pic of said car......
You keep referring to an era that cars had hundreds of options and it was possible to have some weird combos. Welcome to the 21st century where the cars that have such option are 1- really damned expensive and 2- full race cars... The Z being neither. Someone other than you and Nissan installed those parts on your not so bone stock 2006 daytona blue Z.
