Nismo with LEDs?
My Dad is a huge fan of the Audi LEDs and how they line the bottom of the headlights. He thinks that I should do the same to the headlights of my Nismo but I just don't know... It seems like the car would loose some integrity but that's just me. Something like this would be sick though:

I'm just looking for opinions here, thanks!
Saw this right after posting and made me reconsider...

I don't particularly like the led edge look and even Kia's are coming with them now. I like the light around the projector and halo is ok. Color changing is pretty awesome. Anything more is too much for these cars imo. The cars are very clean and simple with smooth lines there comes a point in accessories where it just starts to look ricey and I think I draw the line at the halo.
Just remember when Z3 fenders, lambo doors and spinners came out, it was kinda cool for a year or so but now when you see people with those mods its ricey as hell.
But to each his own.

you should do something like the headlights in the first video to avoid being "poser-ish" if that makes sense, and keep your headlights the color they are instead of painting the housing black like a lot of people are doing. Keeping a stock appearance while making subtle, clean mods that serve as both function and form is the best you could do.
thanks for all of the feedback guys! I unfortunately had to just buy new rotors and brake pads.. apparently the car had just a little less than half of their life when i bought it 5 months ago
Ill wait a little to let my "car fund" recover and go from there

You're going to keep seeing more and more of the LED daytime running lights. They are required on all new cars sold in the European Union in 2014. Therefore, virtually all cars will be so equipped. It really isn't an "Audi thing".

that too...
Rotors? What mileage are you at? With your new brakes and rotors make sure you break them in properly. Inproper break in can shorten the life of the rotor.

I personally think they would look nice if you did it right. Our cars are already ridiculous looking, so why not?
My biggest concern with that is being stuck with leaking headlights. If it weren't for that mine would already be blacked out with the STi lens mod and led lights.

You need to let the pads bed into the rotors, so pretty much don't slam the brakes or drive them hard for about 1k miles.
As for the LEDs, do what you want, it's your car. If you can get them bright enough, I'd say go for it. But do it because you like it, not because we do.
Ok guys so i'm back and am seriously contemplating checking the headlight mod off of my list. I want to get this installed:

but I am kind of worried how this is going to look during the day on a black Nismo. As you can see in the picture at 0:08 seconds they don't look bad during the day when they are off but I am worried that on a black car, the tinted headlights are going to look kind of weird or off if you know what I mean. I'm not the biggest fan of the display of the stock housing but I don't know if this is too much black. opinions wanted.

So I found out that the guy who does this is a college student who does it out of his garage.... His stuff on YouTube looks good but idk about leaving my baby with a college student who is 4 hours away. Thoughts?
I'll be glad when LED's evolve into something besides rows of dots. Frankly I'm sick of seeing Audi's and other makes running around in the day with those tacky looking LED's on that look like they came from Fisher-Price.
In no way would I put them on my Z.
Rant/off
