Considering these are 300 and 340 treadwear as opposed to 180 and 140 with RE050A and RE11...just by the numbers you are supposedly increasing tread life by 1 to 1 1/2 times. A bit less grippy but it's all in how much you think you need for street driving. Saving a few hundred dollars too. There's no right or wrong answer here unless you are tracking the car and want the best grip IMO.

I was able to get about 15k out of my stock rear tires and that was with dragging my car almost every weekend in the summer when I bought it. Now I just buy Nitto 555s. Decent tire, great price and they are lasting a lot longer then the Potenzas.

Pilot Super Sports are supposed to be an absolutely insane tire. My buddy has a set on his M3 and cant say enough good things about them.

I've been running Hankook Ventus V12 tires and they're a great value, but the performance wont be as great as the michelins.
