Nice! I got the stage 1(turn key), just seen the stage 1.5 WTF?!? I would have been all over that.. I had no clue, ordered my kit in January. Did you get the additional engine oil cooler? There are no instructions or hints as to where it mounts!?

Good luck with the rest of your install, your on the downhill stretch now!

Yea i saw the stage 1.5 kit. I couldn't afford much more then stage 1 so thats what i stuck with and budgeted for other areas of my build. Maybe down the line i will upgrade the injectors, pully , tune, fuel system, but my main focus is to get the car running strong and reliable. As for the oil cooler, im ordering it today from gtm. As for the install of where and how it mounts, ill try and dig up some pictures or draw one up of how it should look. I know what you mean though, in the instructions it mentions to install it, but doesnt show or mention anything else about it

Default Transmission Work

Got the transmission out of the car today. Going to be installing a South Bend stage 3 clutch , South Bend billet flywheel and a HD slave cylinder. Pics

The top 2 bolts on the top of the transmission are hard to reach

Transmission just chilling on the floor.

-7 lbs over stock. Im prepared for the increased transmission rattle/noise/chatter lol

Decided im going to remove my BERK high flow cats...

..and reinstall my stock cats. The longevity is superior to the Berks. I might lose a little on the top end, but ill make it back with more low end torque.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/7046497763/http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/7046497763/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/75614849@N08/, on Flickr

The white dot just below the flange is where im going to weld a bung for my A/F sensor. I mocked up the driver side cat, and it looks like thats a good location for clearance. Can someone confirm this is a good location for the sensor???

You may want to call Joe at ZSpeed Performance and ask him about his master cylinder he sells. You'll probably need it due to clutch pedal drop from the stock master cylinder.

Default Mini Update

Went to Savvy today to drop off my welded up cat. Thought I would take some pics cuz I know everyone loves pics! Also, I talked to Joe at Zspeed Performance about getting a heavy duty master cylinder. He told me that the parts are about a week away. No worries, it just snowed about a foot here so all I got is time lol.

Slave cylinder installed

Got the a/f bung welded on. Welds are a lil rough, but they will do the trick.

1 step colder spark plugs

So just a little update. Stay tuned for a larger update.

Getting really close now. Took out the BERK high flow cats and reinstalled the stock cats.

Here's a little comparo. When i was running the BERKs, i definitely noticed a little more power on the top end. They sounded amazing, I had no issues or lights come on for 2 summers. I would highly recommend them . Its too bad they wouldn't withstand the higher EGT's for very long.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/6905391352/http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/6905391352/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/75614849@N08/, on Flickr

Im pretty happy with the clearance with the air/fuel sensor. I will be running a AEM UEGO.

One last look at it

http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/7051483555/http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/7051483555/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/75614849@N08/, on Flickr

That's it for this weekend. Been putting in alot of hours at work and on this car. Going to head to Vancouver for the weekend and watch the Oilers vs Canucks game. Peace!

Default Update

Back from a beautiful weekend on the coast. Thought I'd post some picks of a little bit of work that got completed when i was away.

The clutch, flywheel, and slave got installed. Transmission also installed.

The rest of the intercooler piping went in, as well as the new spark plugs

Tomorrow after work, I'm hoping that we'll have the car filled with fluids and idle the motor to check for leaks. Then finally get a tune of course. Im still waiting on my flash cable from gtm and the HD master cylinder.

Been pretty quiet on here the past few days. Just waiting for the rest of the pieces of the puzzle to come together. Talked to the guys a Zspeed and my master cylinder shipped out today. Then once i get that all installed, all that's left is to get my flash tune from GTM. In other news, we fired up the car the other day and everything looks and sounds pretty good. The ecu was very confused, rpms jumping all over the place lol. Im hoping if the stars align, I will have it up and running by next weekend for my dads 50th.

"Happy Birthday....I just made my already somewhat fast car even faster" sounds like a good bday gift to me.

Haha thanks guys. It was my dad that got me into cars, so I can thank him for that. He has a Shelby GT500, the thing has crazy power, chirping tires going into 4th sometimes 5th. In the picture of my RE-11's, you can also see his '72 Nova drag car, also with ungodly power. It has somthing like 650whp on race gas.

Edit:

Here is the video of the supercharger installed and the motor idling. Even at idle you can feel the air filter sucking like a vaccum cleaner!

And here is a random pic of the Nova i was talking about

Default Finally a Update!!

...Kinda. After patiently waiting , the last bits showed up to get me on the road. Install the upgraded master cylinder, flash the car , AF gauge, boost gauge, and a oil temp gauge.

Feel good to open up boxes again.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/6965499952/http://www.flickr.com/photos/75614849@N08/6965499952/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/75614849@N08/, on Flickr

Nothing crazy, a pillar gauge pods, GTM flash cable, and the master cylinder.

Nice! The stainless steel braided line on this thing was really slick. Going to use dot 4 fluid with this.

Also going to pick up brake pads tomorrow. More to come.

Good to hear! Did you end up using dot 3 or dot 4 fluid?
