Project NISMO TT

In order to achieve 450-500 rwhp with a SC, you need to be pushing boost levels of 10-14 psi! You can do the same with a TT setup with 8-10 psi with the correct supporting mods.
Why push the higher psi on stock internals? The OP knows to stick to a lower boost level with an SC obviously. I wouldn't wanna run more then 9 psi on stock internals. That would be my preference.
Edit: The GTM SC kit is perfect for the DIY'er! The email tune is perfect for most. At the very least it will get you safely going till you can have it dyno tuned. I could handle this sort of build on my own.

Hey all,
Well the ball is officially rolling. I have changed up a little the original parts list and have decided to deal directly through GTM. Order was placed today and I am expecting the following in about 3 weeks time:
- GTM Stage 2 Tuner Twin Turbo Kit
- GTM Turnkey EMS and Fuel System
- OS Giken Twin Disk Clutch Kit
- Heavy Duty Concentric Slave Cylinder for OS Giken Clutch
- OEM Pilot Bushing
- HKS One Step Colder Spark Plugs *6
Next update when the parts arrive and the build begins......
** I was scoping out the SC build going on in another thread on the NISMO forum here and buddy appears to live in Edmonton. I live in Calgary myself ( 2 1/2 hrs away), so hopefully we can hit a strip when I am done and put a GTM SC vs a GTM TT to the test.

Just a heads up on your build. I have been advised that if you're upgrading the slave cylinder, you should also upgrade the master cylinder as the stock master might not have enough strengh to properly actuate the HD slave. Also, i wouldn't hold my breath on getting your kit in 3 weeks. When I purchased my kit I was quoted 2-3 weeks till shipped. I didn't receive it for 2 months. Im not bashing GTM, I know they are always super busy. Thats what happens when you sell top of the line kits i guess. Maybe you'll get lucky and nothing you ordered is on backorder. Anyways good luck with your build and post picks!

I keep saying this! Each and every year a different priority pops up! This year I bought an engagement ring and have set a date for 9/29/12. So no TT anytime soon. I'll keep my eyes open for a used GTM TT kit.

yea it sucks how other priorities come up, i wish i could multiply every penny by 2 haha, currently i have things that i am renovating on the house so my coin is kinda going the route of windows doors and landscaping... in time tho.

Haha i would love to hit the strip any day! I have a feeling you would have the edge though as TT kits tend to make more torque and a little more power. Anyways im down.

We should definitely have a meet at Castrol when all are finished. It is an awful thing they closed Race City this year. Good luck finishing your build man, looking good so far.

Small Update. Other goodies added to the parts list:
- SPL Solid Diff bushing kit
- Gauges etc... (boost, a/f, Oil Press)
- Bridgestone RE-11's Front 265/40/18 Rear 285/35/19
Apparantly, Sam is just waiting for the CSC that is backordered and my order shall be on it's way. He has been very helpful with everything so far. Another couple weeks and I'm hoping to open boxes.....

Looked into running a HKS Camp 2? It would save space from running numerous gauges, instead it would all show on your indash LCD player
I was supposed to go this route over a year ago but after some good research and purchase of additional parts, i ended up going way over my budget and have to wait till next year when i ship her to GTM. Build list looks good tho!

That is a pretty nice unit. I think that is probably the route I will go further down the line when I want to see more info; Some sort of dash LCD like that anyway.
Typo on the front tires: they will stay stock size @ 245/40/18
Solid Diff bushing is in and should be able to pick it up today and install shortly.

Well work has not been helpful in me doing work to the car, but back now and had some time last night.
I got the SPL Diff bushings in last night, cred to JasonZ-Ya for his DIY write-up. I used the freeze and cut method, maybe 3hrs of work so far and just need to re-install and torque everything back up tonight. I wanted to let the bushing sit for 24hrs before I torque down on it as it had been in the deep freeze for 3 1/2 days prior....
Got a tracking update from GTM yesterday and TT parts are a-movin north!!!
New rubber should be on tomorrow

Almost there...
This will be the last lame update. I have been so busy with work this summer I decided to just drop everything to a shop for installation.
Dropped everything off on Monday am before I left up north for work and a small chance it'll be ready Saturday morning. If not, early next week.
Only real change so far is that we replaced the stock WG springs with 10psi springs, which should equate to 8-8.5 psi actual with our elevation here.
This will be last "fantasy" post, my next one will have finished pics and dyno sheets. The owner of the shop is also going to document the build with his camera and I will post that up along with final build specs et all!
goods coming shortly.....
