Got the carfax for my car. Its has been to auction 3 times. First time it had 97 miles on it after sitting on the orignal car lot for 15 months. 2 Nissan dealers bought it and lastly was bought by Carmax. Shipped to Houston where the "first" owner bought it. It had 326 miles on it then. I found the owners business card in the car and called him and he told me the plaque was missing when he purchased it "new".... I bought the car in San Antonio with 37000ish miles in Apr 2013.

Nope.... The story is that the plaque manufacturer has gone bankrupt and Nissan is searching for a new vendor. I did recieve a "loaner" plaque, sadly it is not "my" number.
Nissan said when and if they get a new vendor to make the plaques then i can get one with my number.

Please let us know how the S-04s work on your Niz.

I had mine on the lift the other day and it looks like the 050s will be getting down to the wear bars soon and the S-04s look like a good replacement that aren't going to cost the pretty dime the 050s cost. (Alternative is going with the RE-11s since the car sees very little day-to-day driving and reserved for mountain runs.)

Interestingly, it appears that the original owner of mine replaced the 050s with 050s but upped the rears to 275s. And my car only has 30k on it. That figures to about a set every 17k miles or so. Ehhhh, gotta pay to play.

Cheers,

Mic

Cool, thanks. I'll probably get those if I don't get the RE-11s.

If you're between the S04 and the RE-11 on a car you don't put a ton of miles on, go RE-11. I have them on my Z and they are awesome, I have the S-04 on the wife's Sonic and while they are ok, they aren't holding up that much better than the RE-11 and they certainly aren't as grippy. Also, they are very noisy on the sonic, I don't think that would bother me on the Z but the RE-11 is known as one of the quietest tires in it's class. Price difference is also pretty negligible.
