Cool Optima Yellow-Top battery for 2008 350z Nismo

Anyone with my vehicle replace their orginal factory battery with a yellow-top? I've been hearing that the negative terminal on the yellow-top is a smaller size than the original battery terminal, therefore resulting in a loose fit. Anyone experience this?

I don't have an answer to your question, however I would recommend seeking another section to ask your question as the Nismo's have the same battery components as other 350Z's (at least for 2007 and 2008).

I ran a yellow top Optima 51-R battery in mine and it hooked up to the stock terminals just fine and worked under the stock hold-down, except it was half the size and about 15 lbs lighter than a stock size group 35 batt.

I'm running a red top now, no modifications necessary. Just need to look up the correct size for a 350z.
