Introducing...#0194
Sup guys. Decided to join the cool kids club! I'm super pumped to be a nismo owner. It was love at first sight and finally managed to land one.
Rebuilt a 280 when I was 16, sold the car before college and has been a big regret ever since. Glad to finally be back in the Z family!
General information:
-Purchased in Santa Monica
-2007 #0194
-48k miles
-Smoke-free, clean interior
-Couple of minor imperfections on exterior (1 ding/spider crack on bumper)
Future plans:
-Upgrade exhuast (leaning toward GReddy Evo)
-Upgrade intake (suggestions?)
-Weighing turbo options (suggestions? pro/con opinions?)
-Fix body imperfections
Happy to be apart of the community.

Oem intakes are one of the best performing.
Id leave them.
Exhaust is purely for noise so pick which sounds best to You.
FI is not my strongsuit so yea. Enjoy!.
Welcome and congrats!
My advice, keep it stock, you've bought a low production vehicle that will likely be worth something to someone later on and besides, the Nismo z33 is about as good as it gets out of the box IMO, more HP doesn't equal more fun, I've kept my '04 stock for over 11 years, it still puts a smile on my face, just my .02

Bith said it all, I wouldn't dare modify my Nismo. Drive and enjoy her as she is. I've never had a car put such a smile on my face as this one. Heck, I'm grinning right now as I type this, in anticipation of the next time I get to start her up. haha
Welcome!

But the temptation to mess with it is undeniable, I know.
Since no one said it.... or maybe they're just waiting for the inevitable Mic-The-Welcoming-Committee to say it... I suggest driving school to get the most of your cars.
If you can drive your car to 80% of its potential already then welcome, Lewis Hamilton.
If not, then driving school is worth 10x any bolt-ons are, on a fun-per-dollar basis.
Mic
PS One day, someone will come back on here and say, "Thanks, Mic, I went because of your incessant whining and now boy oh boy." Heh heh.... But if not, c'est la vie.

EDIT: If you do any mods, I suggest "easily reversible" ones.... wheels, exhaust, CAI, that sort of thing.

Thanks for all the responses/warm welcomes. Will take everything into consideration.
I would like an exhaust with a little more roar, something of a growl but doesn't sound cheap. Do you guys have any suggestions in regards to this?
Also-- Mic, I'd be interested in taking a pro drivers course. Might take her to the track and run a few laps to see how I fare, then go from there. Thanks for the advice.

For the GReddy Evo, I'm not too familiar with it, but if it's considered a true dual exhaust, it will change the exhaust note. Seems those make it a little deeper sounding, but changes the notable 350Z note a bit. If you'd like to keep the note, but amplify it, the S-Tune Nismo exhaust works well. Single exhausts also seem to sound amazing, but that's my opinion. Another option to think about is seeking a hi flow cat. I'm not into the rasp it can create, but that can definitely change the tone, with true dual or not, and give a bump in HP.
If you'd like to go with an intake, I would suggest the Injen dual intakes. Seems like the components are a bit more secure than the Stillen one. Nothing wrong with stock if you'd like to stick with those.
If you have the funds to do a turbo setup right, go for it. Options are limited with the HR, but they exist.
If you go with an exhaust, intake, and HFC's, I'd suggest a tune as well.
Otherwise, yes, enjoy the car and congrats!

Welcome lots of options available sky is the limit as long as you have the money but you would have been better off with a base model z if you wanted to go buck wild building a turbo drift machine. Im sure you will figure out the mods you want to get but those cars are good factory fresh... Even the exhaust sounds great.... Untill it rusts off like mine did...
but I dont think thats a problem in lovely Arizona.
