Default #1277 2008 350z Nismo

I am new to this forum. I purchased #1277 in April 2011 for my son to drive. At the time it had approximately 3,000 miles. It now has 22,770 miles. My son passed away last month. After much thought, I think it best I sell this car. I'm just not sure how to go about it or what a reasonable price is. I'd appreciate any ideas regarding how to go about this task.

Im sorry for your loss.

With regards to price it depends on color price condition and how or if modified.

Range for Nismos go from 17k to 27k from what I see. 27k for very low mileage relatively stock examples.

White usually sell faster too.

Wow, I am terribly sorry about your son. My thoughts go to you.

I would look on AutoTrader, Cars.com, and Craigslist to try to compare prices, also check KBB and Nada. You will have no problem selling that car.

If you need help PM me and I'll gladly help.

Thank you for your reply. I tried to insert a photo but it didn't upload for some reason.

The car is black with no modifications, and it is in very good condition. Is 23K miles considered low mileage? And would you have an idea how to reach a market for this car? I didn't realize I had purchased what seems to be a unique car.

It will be a very easy market to sell. I tried to buy a Nismo 2 months ago before giving up since I could not find one and ended up with an 08 Z. I will look up the price and such for you.

For listing, I recommend AutoTrader and on the Marketplace here.

I see one Nismo for sale #1469 with 44k miles for $26k currently. Which in my opinion is a bit high, you cannot price a Nismo on KBB cause it is so limited. However I priced a GT trim with the specs of the Nismo. Assuming it is in good condition, that price is about 21k (private value), with that I would add maybe 1-2k. I was looking at a Nismo with 40k miles a few months ago for 22k. It all depends on time, location, and how long you want to sit on the car.

I've sold numerous cars and see you're in Virginia (like me). I would recommend putting some pictures up on AutoTrader and posting the ad to list until you sell it. I've always had the best luck selling on AutoTrader compared to anyone else where you'll get hit with low ball offers or scammers.

I would kill to be able to trade my car for yours, I just love the Nismo body.

Sorry to hear about your loss.
To answer your question regarding seling prices, I've just located several Nismo Z's on Carmax and Cars.com with varying mileage (9k up to about 80K) that were asking between $16.5k and $30,990. For the mileage on yours, I think the $27k range is a fair asking price assuming everything else with the car is in good condition.

Very sorry for your loss.

A lot of the info in this thread is accurate. I've been looking at Nismo's, and they do vary in price. Locally a black on black 08 with 14k miles just sold for $26k. I was considering it but didn't want a 4 owner car. Really depends on if you want to make a quick sale or get every dollar out of it.

I would be interested in pictures and more info

I haven't had any success posting pictures. Not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. The car was purchased on ebay from someone in Rhode Island. It was first titled to my son but I had to take title to it in the fall of 2012. If you private message me with an email address I can send you pictures. I would like to sell it sooner rather than later as it is emotionally difficult to look at in the garage everyday. I would just like a reasonable price for it. I drive it just to keep it "oiled" or whatever. I was in Lebanon, VA last week when I saw a Nismo parked outside a mechanics garage. I pulled in and spoke to the owner of the car who was a mechanic. His Nismo was #666 (he was not so happy about the number) and he had purchased it two months ago and it was high mileage. I am on a fast learning curve.
