Whose going to buy the 370z Nismo?
Like some on here, the 370z didn't catch my eye the first or even the second time. Seeing the new 370z Nismo come out in 2010 with even more horsepower at 350, is just a car that has caught my eye. Who on here is thinking of purchasing this beast?
Cons
Pros
Looks
Etc on what you can think of as of now?

It actually comes out this year, June to be exact.
To answer your question, I'll be looking into purchasing one. I'm going the the dealership sometime within the next couple of weeks and see what can be arranged.
I only wish nissan made it two tone just like the nismo 350z.

My prediction is that you will go into the dealership all gun ho about the Nismo, and go up to the salesman and say.
"I want to know about the Nismo 370Z"
and they're going to say
"O yea the Sentra type R, its a great car"
To this day I go into my dealer for oil changes with my Nismo and the sales guys standing around want to know what I "did" to my car.
Please post and let us know if they knew what the heck you were talking about when you go in there.
My guess if the price hasn't been listed on this forum there is no way in hell any of the sales guys in there will have the faintest idea

I don't think 40K is rediculously high for this car when considering the price of the 350Z Nismo.
I mean a fully loaded Touring 370Z is about $37,500 (I just read in 0-60 or Road and Track, as they listed their "as tested" price)
I think over 40 is kind of pushing it but I mean if the MSRP is $40,000 that means invoice is around $37,000 which I will expect most to go for.
This is for 2 reasons
1) The Nismo (I believe) will still be relativly limited, and if ordinary people don't see it in the showroom they don't know it exists. (The dealers I went to "told" me that a few guys came in and just saw it in the showroom and bought it because it was "cool looking") I think otherwize they wouldnt know it existed.
I had to get mine shipped in from CT.
2) I can not tell you how many Nismos I see on used car sites at 3,000 miles because they either can't afford the car..... or what I think... They can't stand the rediculously stiff ride espeically in pothole ridden MA. Even if you hit the slightest rivet in the road you feel it.
All this said, I think after the intital hype, just like the Nismo 350Z you will be able to get invoice as dealers realize it may look cool on their lot but in reality its tough to find a buyer willing to sacrafice, space, convience, and comfort and actually come through with an offer.

^You're crazy, I've never seen a loaded 370 Touring for less than $41K sticker.
The Nismo 370 will be in the mid $40Ks, maybe $45K and that's before the inevitable markup.

41K for a 370 seems very high, perhaps your right with the Nismo being mid 40's then. Im shocked they are selling so well, or at least in my area it seems. I have seen half a dozen on the road in the past 2 weeks.
But still if I were after the performace the Nismo provides over the standard Z I think I would pay they extra money for it.
They only problem of getting into the $45,000 price range is that some buyers will switch to a nicely equipped BMW. Maybe Nissan is counting on only hardcore Z buyers to pay the extra money for the Nismo edition because its more focused than then BMWs?

2 dealers I went to said a doctor came in looking for at a maxima for his wife and just bought the a Nismo off the floor.
and the other dealer had a similiar story. Guy came in looking for a sedan and fell in love with the looks of the Nismo when they saw it.
So what I am saying is if the 370 Nismo isn't readily available on showroom floors there will be less sales. Only relativly "hardcore" buyers are going to walk into a dealership and say "I want a Nismo, get it for me"
It amazes me with all the technology today espeically with the rise of about 1,000,000 auto sites that people still just wander into dealerships "to see what they have"

I am definitely considering purchasing a nismo when it comes out, but I'd like to see how the nismo owners like it, etc...Probably wait until late 2010 or even 2011 model to come out and then I'll get it...
Biggest reason is, even though I love my touring 03' z, its getting outdated, some of the technology which I am looking for in a vehicle the newer z's offer...

Edmonds says that it's going to be under 40k.
nismo 370z. But these are also the guys that said the GT-R went from 0-60 in 3.9 sec...Ya so go figure. Let's just hope they get it right this time.
