Even though there IS a big difference in price, 12.9 on bolt-ons is a feat on it's own.

.40 jet on the spray nozzle and .34 jet on the vacum line. Is this good? weak / strong or what.? on a DRY kit...... What are some setups you guys have?

however 12.9's is a bit slow for a 65 shot. im getting consistant 12.6's wit a 75 shot on slicks.
You may be right its pretty close though.. Decent bolt ons cost a pretty penny.. The person I'm reffering to is running..

Plenum spacer
Pop charger
intake tube
Ypipe
test pipes
Clutch/flywheel
Pulley
reflash 12.7 best ET - 12.9 consistant

A basic kit will run you about $550 plus all the other ****, installation.. ect.
its in the ballpark of 2k... plus dyno tuning, there is no "cheap" rout to go with these cars..

$10 says this guy dumps his spare, any subs, etc. when he runs. And I'm sorry. $500 for 125WHP....that is a cheap fix for a Z. No other bolt ons can touch that. I want to know what I run on the street, so when I go to the track, I have the same **** in there I did the day before. Spare, system, CDs and STREET TIRES.

Dude that is not the point. Sure you can strap on Nitrous but is that not considered F/I? It IS an oxidizer. 12.9/12.7 or w/e time he pulled is a feat on it's own. Driving skill, using bolt-ons and tuning is something that surprised much of the Z community. I was surprised myself that Alberto pulled a 13 and breaking into the 12's is something I personally would like to see.

Obviously nitrous is the best bang for the buck in terms of dollar/HP, but tell me how many people are surprised by a sprayed Z going into the 12's? 11's or even 10's is very admirable but again it is nitrous. IMO you are looking way past his accomplishment and looking at an easy way out. Don't get me wrong i'm all for nitrous and even considering it on my car, but comparing nitrous to bolt on's in terms of quicker 1/4 mile times is ridculous. It's like comparing a turbonator to a TT setup, apples and oranges.
