Default bottle location

ok i have all my parts and i am ready to install my nistrous, but i am unsure of where to mount my bottle. i did some searching and didnt come up with my options/pictures. some say in the stock sub location, but i have the bose system, so that is out of the question. i really want it in the spare tire well, i just think the bottle and brackets are too big/tall to fit flush, i am going to test fit later. i guess the only other option is bwteen the seats the rear strut bar. any opinions and pictures? thanks a lot!

-Eric

ps- any advice for a remote bottle openner...last part i have to order, or not order.

I would do it between the seat and strut bar. Just because you won't have to buy a remote bottle opener. I've seen quite a few guys mount it in the trunk at a 45 degree angle. You can fit one on each side this way, but you'll have to get a bottle opener if you don't want to run back and forth to the trunk.

Thanks Mike...great idea. I am going to grab a cheap black gym bag and "hide" the bottle. Unless its a show care, nitrous is always more fun when its hidden

not to be a critic here... but I believe mounting the bottle backwards like that can pose a problem....as far as using all of the nitrous in the bottle. There is a siphon tube in the bottle. At least on NOS bottles there are. It runs to the bottom and to the rear of the bottle(rear meaning behind the front facing label, or opposite of the valve) Reason why the brackets angle the bottle. The valve should face the engine so any residual nitrous will be swept to the back/bottom of the bottle during acceleration. The bottle can rest sideways, but should be rotated so that the siphon would be towards the most rear of the car. I've run nitrous on different cars for over a decade and this was always a general rule... Not sure if things have changed since the 90's though!

Im not really sure honestly....i got mine installed professionally by a place called Factory 5 Motoring in Schaumburg. I know that i kept in close contact with them during the whole install and they said that the bottle would HAVE to be at an angle so that all the N20 could be used (kinda as you were saying) and that there WOULD be a slight hump in the carpet due to this (which there is). However in terms of performance i've had no problems at all and have been spraying 100shot on the 350z for the last two summers (lol, and loving it). I always make sure to purge as well and i know that greatly effects performance, however i will say i have nowhere near a decade of experience so im truely unsure of the answer.

Hey bro, I saw your car at unforgetables...I love that shop, and pretty good friends with Chris and Mitch. I left you a note inside your coin holderwhile they were doing your install today about the SFZCC, hope you dont mind.

Basically, the success of your install and the amount of work involved with Chris and Mitch will determine if I will take the same route.

Best of luck bro
